What a shame to say that now GPS apps can work in background!!!! It means that until now they were totaly useless because if you receive a sms or a call during GPS navigation, you have to start it all over again! WHAT A CRAP!!! And... God, what a messy homescreen! Is that design???!! They tried all their best JUST TO FIT A BIG NUMBER OF SQUARES ON THE SCREEN!

The iPhone 3GS was released mid 2009 and sports a 600mhz processor with 256mb ram. Apple iPhone 3GS started on iOS 3, major update to iOS 4, got major update to iOS 5 and is now getting the major update to iOS 6.0.
Nokia Lumia 800 was released in November 2011 and has a 1.4Ghz processor with 256Mb ram. The Lumia 800 started on WP7.5 and is receiving a minor update to WP7.8. Then you're knackered and will be left in the past.
Goodbye Nokia, Good Riddance Windows Phone.

windows phone 8 is really appealing, from the article i really hobe that windows 8 brings forward what it promises. And now for all the people who r defending android, let me tell u that android has a nice UI and many features including lots of apps, but its not a good OS. It consumes way more power, requires lots of cores to run smoothly. i have used three android handsets and each and everyone of them got slow and very much laggy after around 3 months of use. The battery life reduced drastically, and after 6months it was unbearable!! i had to charge my phone twice a day just to use watsapp, some texting, browsing and few songs. Moreover the multitasking isnt gud at all. maps not upto the mark and so many useless apps. Sometimes quality is better than quantity. So i don't think we r definitely so much rugged users who need a quad core machine to run an OS smoothly. Maybe a couple of years later we may need that, but right now is just a wastage of power. So i am really hoping to get a good wp8 handset from nokia obviously after my annoying experience with three android handsets.

Microsoft held a press event today to give us a "sneak peek of the future of Windows Phone". Terry Myerson, VP of Windows Phone, took the stage and bragged that seven of the top nine phones in Amazon's marketplace are Windows Phone handsets.
But that's the past - Joe Belfiore took over to preview Windows Phone 8. One huge change in WP8 is the shared core. This means that Windows Phone 8 shares the kernel, drivers, security, graphics and more with Windows 8. With it, devs for either OS can easily port their work to the other platform

i think WP is a much better and more stable os than the android.
i'm an android fan and i hope i could have my first windows phone.
I also believe that time will come that windows phone would surpass what android has had right now.
Just like the old times (and the current time) that windows leads the operating system on computers. I know they can.
The only downside is that the WP OS is not free unlike android. I think that's the reason why WP are far more expensive than its android counterparts.
