That comment about the E90 not having a touchscreen because it set the bar so high is a bunch of crap.
Do an advanced phone search on gsmarena for Nokia Touchscreens. A whopping 3 old phones, one never seeing the light of market are the results. Some people prefer a hardware QWERTY keyboard, some prefer a virtual qwerty keyboard, and some prefer handwriting recognition. Each option has its pluses and minuses. A big hardware QWERTY has a more tactile feel and can deliver the fastest method of input if you are good at using it, but it is more parts that can fail and will make the phone bulkier. Handwriting recognition is easier, but slower especially if your writing is poor. I personally like a phone with a virtual keyboard and handwriting recognition.

N96, N95 8GB, E90 Beats X1 to death. And X1 is death before SE even release it. LOL

Just to clarify about one the comments below, when trying to prove a point get your quotes right, the cosmonaught in Armageddon said "all components made in taiwan". Not a big deal but when having a go at someone with a film quote, get it right.
Good phone Sony, although some people will complain about it being windows and not symbian, its an all round great device. Well done.

Like other people, I don't understand why they fight over SE and Nokia phones. Are you guys the manufacturers of these phones?
I wonder how those Nokia fans would react if Xperia X1 is actually from Nokia. And curious how SE fans would react if N95 is from SE.

Actually, Nokia fans should be glad that SE is releasing good phones and vice versa. This will only increase the competition among the manufacturers, causing better phones with cheaper price to be released later on. It will bring benefit to all of us. There is really no need to fight over which brand/phone is better.
As for me, I don't care about the brand, its the phone that matters. Many people here are just fighting over which brand is better.
If you don't like a particular phone then just say that you don't like it but don't say that the phone sucks (it could be a perfect phone for another person).

hey guys. can you just stop fighting about SE is better or Nokia? actually i think that both them have great points. for example the gps in nokia or the great resolution in SE or the 16M colour in nokia and Walkman in se and the 5mp camera in both of them and the touchscreen in se and widely using simbian in nokia and fast working of se and... so i thinkk that its our choice. nokia or se?

Its very annoying to see people complaining about the 65k colors screen and then say that the resolution is not good???
Come on, its WVGA resolution screen. This resolution can produce very sharp image quality. Its screen hardware is actually 256k colors but Windows OS support up to 65k colors.
@Android - Sony Ericsson did not abandoned Symbian OS. Some newly announced phones from SE are using Symbian.

N95 and N96 better than this phone???
maybe only in your dream i think....
do N96 support HSUPA , windows mobile 6.1 or large touchscreen with WVGA resolution??? N96 is only N95 with new symbian and memory upgrade... nothing new... NOT like this phone okay...

What "erected" Sony Ericsson to abandon Symbian OS and opt for Windows CE 6.1? and I wonder how comparable is it with Symbian OS?
Apparently, Sony Ericsson is looking for a wider application support and "hacker-inviting environment".
A better perspective for Sony Ericsson is invest in Android.

N96 and N95 8GB is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than this phone. Not to mention X1 will be more expensive than Apple Iphone. it will be released at $950!!!!
I could get a decent laptop + HSDPA card with that money.
NOKIA N96 ALL the way!

70% products are made in China.
LG & SAMSUNG have the best horrible quality products, specially SAMSUNG.
Nokia cells are made in Hungary.(But I don't think so)

Sony Ericsson burned out Nokia with X1i.
