The 'Elop factor' together with the suspicion he is deliberately ruining the company in order to sell the remains to Microsoft at a discount - and realise on his huge holding in that company - seems to become more credible all the time

All window users are crying and facing issue across the world. Since user have currently no option (except expensive mac) they can't switch over. But in case of Mobile user have options and I am sure that windows will never be a successful on mobile market. Note my words.

Please explain. What does number of years have to do with technology? Were they making smartphones for 147 years? Legacy? Then how come they are now clinging to Microsoft for dear life? Shouldn't it be the other way around of Nokia has 147 years expertise behind it? Elop is engineering the fall of Nokia into Microsoft hands ( his former company). Microsoft needs hardware to compete with Apple and Google.

We all know most of these brands carry both Windows and Android. Guess which OS is bringing in the customers?

I think NOKIA will be the Top Seller of WP8 units especially when Pureview technology comes along with the phones.

This great for Nokia's sales, as an Lumia owner and supporter i never wanted WP8 on that anyway.
We are more than happy to help Nokia's sales by buying
                        there handset for WP8.

Thankyou Nokia and Microsoft. We like this

I dont get all the complaints..Technically, current Lumias will still get considerable upgrade with 7.8. Obviously, the hardware dependent features of WP8 which current phones dont have like microSD, hd display, shared kernel wont be included. Aside from the new Metro UI, improved nokia apps, wifi tethering and the camera extras are good enough updates. Offline maps is already existing with Nokia Drive. Im not sure if we'll get the IE10 browser though.. I hope we do. Wallet and integrated Skype are also possible.
Im have a Lumia 800 and the upcoming upgrades will keep me happy until such time I need to replace my phone.

Well, when a WP8 Phone with a hardware keyboard comes out, I'm sold.
                              Bring on the QWERTY!

                                Nokia's legacy: since 1865 (147 years)

                                Samsung's legacy: since 1938 (74 years)
                                htc's legacy: since 1997 (15 years)
                                huawei's legacy: since 1988 (24 years)

                                Nokia > samsung + htc + huawei

Yeah Samsung will out manufacture Nokia just like it out did Lumia with it's Focus (on Galaxy). And Samsung will magically come up with Pureview, rich recording and nano technology suddenly and will out sell Nokia.
