., 13 Jul 2020So every time Apple uses a proprietary standard it's a... more125W chargers, 108mp cameras, 16gb ram, good design and the phones usage is still bad. lol.
I will take a "poor" spec-sheet 4 year phone that works perfectly with latest software on board, than a "tank" phone that has lag even in basic apps after just 6 months.
But, if specs on paper is what makes them sleep good at night..

For the naysayers: not the fast charges demage the battery, but the heat from process. If you control this, all ok.

          Hallo Oppo CEO ?
Yes, about that innovative 125W charging, what is the secret sauce ? We are still stuck on 18W on the iPhone 11.

People with EVs are very cautious about range and will notice the degradation. But, buyers of these phones won't even notice. They will quietly dispose of their junk after 10 months and buy another cheap Chinese one with zero reliability.

Charging a 20Wh battery at 125W so 6.25C peak, welcome to degradation land. Tesla charges 75kWh battery at 250kW peak which is 3.3C and this is considered to be the max which lithium batteries can take without massive degradation.

I'd love for you to show some real evidence how high wattage charging kills batteries. Especially at 2 months. Spoilers, you won't.

If you battery knowledge is anywhere near your English syntax, I'm fine.

I want to play on my phone at any time or watch Twitch without having to let it charge 1-2 hours. If I have to go somewhere, I can have my phone 100% charged in 30 minutes or less.

This isn't innovation or interesting; what would be is introducing a better and more efficient battery tech.

My phone supports 18w charger (QC4) but I've been using a 10w since I bought it a year ago, and have had no need for the 18w brick.

And that's coming from someone in Nigeria, with poor power supply: those who need this; is it that your power supply is even worse, such that it is more off than it is on? Do you stay more than 15 hours away from a power source? Because if not, WTH do you need a lithium battery that charges to full in -30 minutes?

[deleted post]Oh is it another big brain feeling too smart for having a broad idea what voltage and amperage means? Or you feel too smart for knowing that the battery is made of multiple cells?

Anyway you're free to buy it, but I'm definitely not going to trust a chinese 125W charger in my house.
