Expected Cores/Android vs Windows Fanboys war n its really happening.

WP8 is a great platform n with all the new features they implemented into the smartphones/tablets it gotta uses many cores or processor on par with the PC's.

So more cores for safer future!

what wow, 21 Jun 2012and is this supposed to consolate the people who bought lum... moreinstead of other competitors using quad core and why nokia still using single core, it is showing that Nokia hardware is capable to run a heavy os with a single core and run as smooth as dual core as other brands using. so now nokia is going to use dual core, because they are manageable to fight with quad core.
what im mean here is the smoothness of operation but not about apps.
if u do not believe? get 1 lumia phone and compare with any dual core adroid.

You people should have watched the Microsoft summit , there is a link to it here on GSMarena . The core of the OS is changed, they are trying to bring mobile OS and their tablet/PC OS closer in terms of shared kernel , drivers , etc . so it is reasonable to see that older hardware is not going to be compatible with the new architecture. I myself wanted to buy a WP mobile phone , but due to rumors about WP8 update not being compatible with any available phones I decided to buy something else .

AnonD-21377, 21 Jun 2012Whatever android fans say they are still wrong, our windows... more1 core was never ever faster or even close to android phones. Navigating the UI is smooth but phones with 600mhz like the Desire C the UI is smooth but once you get into web, heavy apps all windows phones straggle. Now it is very clear that WP8 is much more of an OS with many features and these wont run on a single core that is why no current windows phone can get the update cause the phones wont handle the software. So with 2 or 4 cores its going to equal what android currently offers.

Fanbois aside no smartphone lags in this day and age, and CPU speeds and cores don't make much of a difference. Phones have come a long way no its more about integration with other device and services that the phone offers. Both of which are plentiful with wp8, which is great for the customers :D.
