Contact Sony via the support zone you can chat with your local costumer service in your own language.. Hope you can solve the glitch;-)

AnonD-60626, 26 Jun 2012First of al why are al of you complaining? Sony stated that... moreNot complaining mate. But wondering why is PC Companion saying I have the latest firmware when I dont really have ICS and my SI is listed in the list of released ICS

First of al why are al of you complaining? Sony stated that the xperia s wil go on sale with gingerbread and that it got updated to ICS in the end of second quarter 2012! This is the second quarter litle girls and boys.

Secondly: updates go by SI number not by country! Operators like Vodafone or AT&T must also approve the update. So if you have an branded version of the xperia s. Chances are that you have to wait longer for the update. This not sony's fault the operators need to check network specific software and apps and after they have given there seal of approval. The update wil be released. ALL THE BRANDS DO THIS LIKE THIS!! Yes also Apple:-P

Third: Be patient al this nagging won't make anything go faster.. If you have a got good idea? SEND AN EMAIL TO SONY OR CALL THEM!! They won't check all the tech sites on the world;-)

And last but not least: if you think athor brands are better buy that athor brand!! I know from experience that Sony mobiles run verry smoothly and the updates that they release work verry wel! Yes sometimes they make a mistake but who doesn't??? Apple made mistakes as has Samsung and also HTC

PS. I also don't have the update yet.. So the only thing to to is check the link that Sony gave us that's posted in this article!!

am using 1257-0898. it stated ICS update released on 22/6/2012. There was no notification on the OTA update, PC companion indicated that the phone has the latest update. I tried to update to ICS on the Sony Mobile website, and it stated the same thing. Is there something wrong somewhere about the update?

Dear Sony, all we really want are the simple things such as the option to change the color scheme in the stock SMS and email apps. White text on a black background is extremely difficult to read and not easy on the eyes. Cheers, Max.

Seriously everyone quoting your country of origin asking for updates...... CHILL OUT! its going to take a while. I havent got mine yet either! NO ONE knows when certain si number updates are going to get here so and sony have clearly stated that over and over so instead of endlessly asking this question just BE PATIENT!!! your country dosent have alot to do with when you get your update its all in that SI number and if yours is not on the current list (clearly linked by GSMarena) then its not avalible yet....

Out of all of those features I am only interested in:
                                    - notification bar overview and side swipe without unlocking
                                    - application switching and terminating

and this stuff I like but already have
                                    - tabs in browser
                                    - swap between desktop and mobile web pages
                                    - text reply when busy
                                    - data usage stats (but would be nice to be standard I guess)
                                    - offline internet pages

That isn't much of an upgrade.
