Even though Sony have announced the roll out to ALL Arc S, Neo V and Rays has been completed they failed to mention that SIM free models will be last in the line for any update at all.

don't wanna break warranty just so I can have MSC support :/

but yeah, they make decent mid rangers for good price. It is not about hardware with SOny falgships, it's experience with it. Name me a manufacturer that has provided actual additional features to standard android. Sence or TouchWiz does not count as these are just launchers (bad one at that) Standard HDMI cables, good camera, camera key, USB OTG, and quite good performance for an older chipset beating pretty much anything with similar specs with exception to One S (but internal memory on that is ugh..)

This is really great news! Sony indeed delivers. I've been reading from so many sites that if you really want to experience Android the way it's supposed to be, you gotta have a Sony.

I'm quite happy that Sony is keeping up to their promises, and it seems a lot of the users of Sony are. So please, instead of bashing on this very good news, go take your wishes of "latest technologies" on posts of the phone that has 'em.

                                    1. i see your point htere, but as we can see from sony's record, like arc and arc s2, while other company jumping up and down with dual core they stay with single core, so actually its their style, i think , i cant do anything about it, as long as they make a good product (quality and enough speed) its not a problem for me.

                                    2. hmm youre right, 2012 xperia lineup almost have an identical looks on them(hardwhare wise), and identical software. but its nice isnt it? i mean samsung , htc didnt make thir products this way. agagin is a style factor.

                                    3. looking sony's acrt updateing all ,their 2011 lineup, the chance of jellybean on 2012 lineup is bigg ;) more importantly i dont hink jellybean will be a major update like gingerbread to ICS.

                                    4. im absolutely with you in this point , xperia s maybe the sexiest phone on market right now, but the non removalbe battery, and the extingtion of SD card on it bothers me -,-

Be grateful the ICS update is here. Do you even own an Xperia S? Because if you do, don't you think you should have realized that the specs are "last year's"? Now if you haven't bought the phone, then bash on something that can't deliver! Sony has delivered the update as promised and on time. And mind you, I love my phone not only because of it's functionality despite the specs you would deem "so last year", but it is stylish and beautiful. I love Sony, and I don't care if Samsung or HTC release dodecacore mobile phones. I have no use for them anyway. I'm fine with my Sony that lags 0.0125 seconds later than the Samsungs and the HTCs.

ICS is here and it is something to rejoice about. Don't come here moping and whining as to why our phone isn't like the others who have the latest and most current technologies. If you wanna crash a party, I'm afraid you're gonna burn by yourself.
