I wonder what is the penalty in battery life with these super-fast charging speeds?
Because there is a penalty. I guess they expect you to throw away the phone in a year.

So many Apple customers were begging for big screens.
Took them years to upgrade the screen size.
At the time they all justified by saying who needs it.
Same way they justified...
Lack of waterproofing when their phones didn't have it.
Same way they justified 5W charging when others were giving 18W.
Same way they justified not having widgets.
Same way they justified.... Etc. Etc.
Truth is that Apple ecosystem will always lag behind Android.

The thing is the faster you charge the battery, within a short span the battery will lose its capacity. It is physics. We don't need anything beyond 18W for smartphones. It is overkill 120W charging. This will I guess make you upgrade your phone's often if non removable battery and intentional buggy updates were not enough.
