Damn. Here I was perfectly satisfied with the 30w speed of my OP7T.
IMO, the phone manufactures should focus their resources on other more important parts, like increasing battery density. That matters more than faster charging.

Too soon to reach 100+.
It's going to harm the battery life for sure.
I think 50/60W is pretty okay for next couple of years.

AnonD-641645, 15 Jul 2020Looking forward to paying extra $100 for the charger and $1... moreThis isn't Apple who charges you for everything proprietary.
Oppo, Xiaomi, Huawei and others have always bundled 40W-65W chargers in the box.
Expect this 120W to be in the box as well.

Writing from my 65w chargable oppo find x2 pro. To me best phone 2020 at least until mate40pro which might not be better as what I saw in p40pro (not much).

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2020I literally type this comment using x2 pro and the average ... moreAs stated by other members, it could be due to other reasons...
Maybe You did Heavy Gaming.. That's contributes to battery degradation or
Maybe you did Heavy Usage (Video Streaming or Gaming) while Charging.. That also degrades battery a lot...
And how can you say Average Sot decreased by an hour... Have you monitored Sot for each full charge cycle for your device for this whole time of 6 months. And if you did monitored, how??
Also, the reason could also be that you didn't even charged to full 100% , i.e unplugged at 70-80% , obviously for this reason SoT will decrease..
I hope you will answer all these questions..;

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2020I've heard that ColorOS is good now.Yes.
Color OS 7.1 is as close to Oxygen OS.
Half these guys have zero experience using latest phones.
They parrot out their experience about color OS and other Chinese skins from years back.
Gsmarena and others have confirmed the improvements of Color OS yet these guys in comment section have to resort to lies to put down Chinese brands.

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2020I've heard that ColorOS is good now.Its updates aren't pushed on time unlike MIUI. Check out Realme UI and its a horrid mess (a UI based on ColorOS).

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2020I literally type this comment using x2 pro and the average ... moreYour anecdotal evidence doesn't matter.
One can use the phone heavy and consume more charge cycles compared to someone using their phone for light usage within 6 months.
Software updates across all brands are notorious for giving less screen on time with every new update.
Individual Use case scenario of your phone might also change in 6 months giving you less SOT.
Never had anyone using Oppo, Huawei, Realme or OnePlus come to me or other sellers regarding detoriating battery due to fast charging
Whatever battery degradation was there, that was normal battery degradation with time.
Infact these phones with 18W fast charging are showing more degradation since they are using inferior charging technology, they become extremely hot during charging and using the phone while VOOC charging keeps their phones cool even during charging and using the phone.
Also fast charging components and batteries themselves are tweaked on VOOC compared to traditional 18W charging devices.

As usual, Oppo is a pioneer in fast charging tech.
Other brands are simply playing catchup.

The names are misleading considering Realme and Oppo are both uder BBK.

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2020You lose water proofing with that.Yeah, because everybody goes swimming with their phones.
Only once in 10 years since I am buying smartphones I needed an IP rating smartphone (when I went rafting in team building). And even then I could easily left it on the shore.
And nowadays even a low-end Motorola for example has some sort of splash resistant feature. So no need of some IP68 rating. Especially if I need to pay extra money for it.
