You need to understand that there is huge demand for phones with good sized screens as people are increasingly using their handsets for all sorts of media and entertainment purposes, in most cases warranting a large screen. People like this as they dont want to carry a tablet everywhere. Horses for courses my friend. Veriety is the spice of life. Please will people stop making comments with unfounded evidence and proofs... and dont comment if you dont know the industry... much love

I am guessing that with HTC's incapability to create compact phones any more that even the 4" model is going to be huge.
For I moment I thought it would be an opportunity to escape from ICS over size phone regression into the 1980s.

Im sure the guys from XDA Developers will find a way to get WP8 on 1st gen devices. im not the least bit worried.

Did you really expect the old hardware to be able to support the new stuff. Nokia already said that Lumia line will get a update but features will be depending on hardware just like iOS. Also if you say just flash your phone that is a bad excuse for Android most people do not want to take the risk or the problems with flashing.

Microsoft is comming out with their own phone through contract manufacturer (my guess is either HTC or Samsung) Nokia going to be next Kodak.

Lumia and other wp7 phones out now will get wp7.8 update. think of it as wp8 rt, all the new wp8 as wp8 pro. You will get a lot of the stuff, just not all of it. For the full and better experience on any electrical product, you always have to upgrade and pay more money. Wish the whinges would go away.
