no abandonment they had a phone recycle plan with microsoft wp needed serious upgrade and they did it so im happy plus so many android upgrades left out other devices guess apple is the one constant bblackberry not in this range i love the convenient sync of windows mobile to desktop all on the similar os

Always liked the Look of WP7, never liked the phones available. Now with WP8 and HTC Zenith, that will change, it will be my next Smartphone, Excited!

Is there something we don't know about here. Why suddenly , 3 top Phone making companies have grown an affinity for WP8 when their android based phones are selling like hotcakes. Windows mobile never impressed in any case so why would WP8 be any different. It is slow and they barely have application. android is free and you got tons of apps. Why would anybody want to switch to a WP8..unless there is something these companies are not telling us. I just got rid of my WP phone anyway as Windows market closed down on it. Take into note please...when WP8 fails in the mobile market...you will be left with another dinosaur on your hands.

Nokia claimed that the reason they didn't want to make one single android phone is because they would lose theyr uniquenes and there would be nothing to differentiate them from the rest. got that so far ? Good...
Now with wp8 they are going to have to put up with the exact "problem" they said they want to avoid : lose theyr uniqieness and have nothing to differentiate them from the rest.
And now it looks like at least one of the other companies has not 1 but 3 phones not in project phase but already in production phase. Nokia is gonna get left behind within it's own "unique and different OS".

How can people be so dumb, obviously u all knew nokia are gonna be making new hardware for their windows 8. Thus new software is needed specifically for that. Nokia/msoft didnt abandand anyone. Its just logic, ur 1st gen windows phone cant grow another cpu and gpu etc. at least they plan to increase to windows 7.8. Look at android, how long do they take to upgrade people. Also remember this is nokias and msofts mega change. When windows 8 is officially out then that will be their main os for years to come. No more major upgrades that will make people feel they have been left out

from an addicted iphone user: i love nokia lumia 800,until now it is the only smartphone challanger for iphone 4: superb design and harware. windows 7.5 is superb and windows 8 will be mine along ios

Why rush and release a quad core when no app will requier it in the near future, maybe even in the phone's lifetime? Maybe to get a stupid spec wars started like Android... Anyway, a4.3 inch screen is the best size, even if 720p for that is kinda overkill

Guys in leaving WP platform Microsoft abandoned all users that bought a lumia, HTC and so on not to mention the 1st gen devices owners! Now they want us to buy new devices no! I'm not getting abandoned again moving to android for good S3 as a 2 year support and latest OS updates, S2 as android 4, besides chameleon UI is coming to android! So guys doesn't matter the specs in never going to buy a MS OS device again, I rather be on an apple iPhone or on an android device, Apple and google don't abandon consumers!!!
