You might see bugs on Lava, Xolo, infinix, ulephone or some low end manufacturers which no one has heard of where one would be stuck at the mercy of those companies.
Not on major brands though.

      That is exactly how I felt about using iOS devices.
      I've had iPads Air, Air 2 & iPhone 8, 11 pro and switched between Android for years.
      iOS was always very buggy. Definitely not the "stable" system.
      In iOS, there is ALWAYS some important feature broken.
      IOS never Again!

That is because of how subpixels are arranged on the display. Amoled (diamond/pentile) screens actual resolution output (measurable, observable, and calculable) is 1/3 less than the tech specs.

        So 1080p diamond/pentile (amoled) = 720p rgb matrix (LCD)
        1440p amoled = 1080p LCD
        2160p amoled = 1440p LCD

        Its just the way amoled works.

            Never bought my phones on contract. In this part of Europe you can have a good contract with 5-10EUR per month. So no need for phones with contract. A 500 EUR phone will decrease maybe to 400EUR with contract, so is useless to buy it on contract.

            Also, I buy my iphones second hand or slightly used with 1 year warranties, from special stores. Still better than to buy Android flagship second hand or new low-end/mid-range model.

            I see people on the street still using iphones 5s or SE 1st generation (is easy to spot this models). Not so many with Samsung S6 or S7 for example (in fact I don't even remember seeing someone with such models in recent times). Not to mention other less important brands from back then.
            Android is open and flexible system, but that means every company can put it's "mark" on it, even the unworthy ones. So that makes it unstable and unpredictable. You can have a good Android model if you're lucky, but you can easily have a bad one (like I did over and over again).

            I was a Windows and Android guy. I bought my first iphone only at 35 years old in start of 2019 (now I am on my second iphone already). When you reach the end of your patience and you spend so much money, only to get disappointed over and over again, it is time for a change.
            Now I am glad I did that change and I am planning to buy other Apple devices too (ipad, airpods, maybe a macbook at some point).

            People can say whatever they like about me or IOS, but for me is funny how they live with such poor and unstable operating system like Android.

              Most people around the globe buy unlocked phones where they aren't tied to carriers and can switch SIMS anytime if they are unhappy with their network providers.
              It's Also cheaper in the long run. Besides, USA has the worst choice of smartphones to choose from. They think pixel and SE are the best budget phones since they are devoid of any other choice.

              Your whole argument is based on the fact that people don't get to be part of contracts when most people around the world don't have to be part of some contract system that puts more bloatware, where you can't switch networks, where you end up paying more.
              I understand you have got used to a locked ecosystem of phones and carriers. Others around the world are FREE to choose whatever they want.
              Afcourse you are going to justify locked up system. It's called Stockholm syndrome.

                  About the resale value, Nobody wants to buy old phones. Only broke ppl like you buy them.
                  Technology changes so fast these days, last thing you want is a used phone with outdated battery, fast charging tech, screen size, phone design, outdated connectivity, etc.

Ok, so you have freedom and flexibility. But if the user experience is bad in the end, what are you going to do with all that freedom? Nothing.

                          I rather have a "locked" ecosystem that works perfectly in every way, than a open, free ecosystem, in which every company "puts their feet in" and which works only sometimes or until the first important software update hits the phone.

                          I had so many bad experiences with Android phones in the past (most of them software related) that I am almost certain Android fanboys are lying about their phones being perfect after X years, just to increase the operating system image. Or are capable of too many compromises, just because they paid a cheap price for the phone.

Enjoy getting your phone slowed down directly after an update. Not to be rude, but people like you who defend the most obvious proven claims are the reason I don't buy Apple. I'd bet if Apple released a sheet of paper for $6000, you'd still defend it.

                                    You have to understand that Apple's game is in the flagship categories/price range. And all iPhones outsell all android flagships every year. So of course there are more androids around cos half of the world is poor.
                                    Meanwhile apple is worth about 1.7T that's $1700000000000. Yes that's more than google. In fact no other company is worth that much.
