Anonymous, 22 Jul 2020x2 cams suckWho says? It is good. It has good HDR, telephoto, ultrawide, Macro with Ultrawide, Good Bokeh, Nightscape on all 3 lens. Yes, it is not as good as Oneplus Nord in primary camera, but it makes up in terms of versetality. You can install Gcam too.

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2020Apple iPhone is better then this. LOL
And i mean iPhone 7.Yesn't.
I mean, even my second hand iphone SE 2016 (a 4 year model), works without any lag on the latest IOS 13.6. In comparison, my 2 months old Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, after the update to Android 10, starting having small lag in basic app opening, or just scrolling through the menu.
But, on the other hand, an iphone SE 2016, or iphone 7 is behind on other areas for 2020 standards. Cameras are really bad, battery life is really bad, screen size and display quality is sub par even with a mid-range Android from 2020.
In my case, I discovered that I want a smartphone that performs flawlessly and without lag. I don't care anymore about battery life (as I am always near a power source every minute of the day) or design. I never was a camera or video person, even before smartphone era. So, for me the choice was easy. But, other people prefer other benefits of a phone, and I understand that.

USB-C 2.x or 3.x? If 2.x then there are better phones for price. Disappointment with macro and depth camera. Rest is very good, even 765G.

AnonD-923722, 22 Jul 2020To be said, I am a bit disappointed about the Nord's d... moreMacro isn't a gimmick and I would love to have one on my phone, a single camera module is almost pocket change nowaday, no big deal, and many users love it, the same way you are against it, some are against the headphone jack, yet I guess you really don't like when they complain about the jack...
And if you don't know what the depth camera is for, then you don't know how smartphone camera work, if anything, to be really useful, the depth camera should be AT LEAST the same resolution as the final (binned) output image (usually 12MP), but I am sure the only reason why there aren't phones with 12MP ToF camera is only because tons of peoples would make a tantrum about that despite all the things it would allow.
For most applications, a 90Hz display would work fine with a 765G, I mean c'mon now, the 765 isn't like a extremely low performance SoC, it is the equivalent of the damn SD845 in performances !
The Asus RoG Phone and the Razer Phone 2 both had SD845 and respectively 90 and 120Hz, and they worked fine with that.
I agree with all other points except the SD which I don't see why a UFS 3.0 or even a UFS 1000.0 would be any excuse to remove it ?
SD card have multiple advantages, from having a backup, to easily switching them when one is full to a secondary memory or an extension to the main one, all of them regardless of the main memory speed have their justifications to exist.

No telephoto, no stereo speakers = no 2020 smartphone. Macro camera and not Telephoto? Really? Something sleeping at Oneplus team designers?

TFM, 22 Jul 2020Oneplus nord support 5G X2 pro doesn't Phones like this will even be laggy before 5G becomes mainstream. 5G is now even half baked, most people agreed on that. Decent 4G phone is better than Half Baked 5G phone. Do you prefer an phone that will be super laggy at the time 5G arrives or Do you prefer an 4G phone that still runs smoothly at the time 5G arrives? I prefer the latter. Choice is up to you.

[deleted post]they definitely are trying to push sales of their (conveniently brand new) wireless earbuds. guess it only made more sense when they had a super affordable device on sale so people are likely to get the buds also.

To be said, I am a bit disappointed about the Nord's decision makings.
1. Why put a Gimmicky Macro and Depth camera just for marketing?
2. Why put a 90hz display on an 765G that isn't consistent with the Display smoothness?
3. Why no Headphone jack? It is a Midrange!
4. No IR Blaster.
5. No Stereo speakers
6. No MicroSD slot even though it is UFS 2.1 storage, i am fine if it is UFS 3.0, midrange no MicroSD and Headphone jack, zzz....
7. Realme X2 Pro/Huawei Nova 7 offers better phone overall
