Many features which have been available in Android for ages are now going to dawn into the iOS world with the upcoming iOS 14. Notifications management seem ancient compared to Android. Android provides much more flexibility and ways to play with your phone. Apple does do better job in RAM management but that does not mean iOS is advanced, it just means they've made such a walled-garden around their OS interface that they control every aspect of it and therefore throttle apps and processes so that they use the minimal memory storage possible.
Also, as others have mentioned, Google Pixels with their 4 GB RAMs run perfectly OK.

Today getting an android phone even with 4 or 6gb ram is less than half the price of an iPhone. iPhone is just an expensive smartphone that has nothing unique about it compared to other players in the market. you dont understand the problem in this case, Somewhere in the near future OEMs will charge upto 50000 rs just for entry level phone.
instead of doing this, they could have restricted OEMs to use old chipset (like smartphone companies should got only 2 options of chipset in entry level phone, 2 otions for midrange phones and 2 options for flagship phones.
they could have added a restrictions on pre-installed bloatware apps like cleaner, a separate theme engine, pre-installed cloud storage service etc.
its not good you any of the customers, its all about there mini google OS.
this is not gonna benift any andriod users apart from OEMs & google itself.

your mobile lags, when your internal & external storage if full (but this only impacts the phone for account 0%)
actual reason of lags are heavy apps & OS system.
there is no option to kill system apps as well as even few downloaded apps contastly runs on the background even when you closes the app whihc consumes ram... also all the apps caches too comsumes a temp part of storage of ram.
i've pocophone f1 with 8gb ram and 256 internal storage + 128 gb external storage.
i've rooted my phone and i am using a custom rom with "PICO" version of opengapps.
i dont play games so dont have any gaming apps.
the only heavy app which i have in my phone is instagram app.
both external storage has 60% free space and internal Storage has 80% of storage space.
yet the phone lags because andiod os itself is too heavy.
did u ever used google movies or books app ?
customer should be able to uninsall unwanted system apps too but we cant unless a customer do not use pc or root the device for it.
basically, there are multiple reason why the phone lags but as google has the monopoly on andriod os in the terms of smartpohne market they will do whatever they think is best for them.
sadly, customer will always be non of their concern unless customers dont get 3rd OS option nad whihc should be apart from google and ios.

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2020Even 4GB Ram is useless.If you don't run heavy apps all the time, you will be fine. My Android devices all have 4GB or less and they are fine. Heck, I only use 2.5GB on avarage on my tablet. I am not a power user. My phone with 4GB can run 7 apps at the same time withput stuttering or alowing down a lot
