Google will prevent phones with 2GB RAM from using full Android 11
22 July 2020
Future devices with 2GB RAM or less must run Android Go, those with 512 MB won't qualify for GMS.

Right. I love android. but this is getting ridiculous...
Soon in Android 20 Phones with less than 12GB of RAM will have android Go, and only those with 32GB or higher will have full android. -_-

I don't even mind if Google wants to prevent phones with up to 3GB or 4GB RAM. I'm not gonna lie, I still have my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to this day serving as my secondary backup phone running AospExtended ROM with OpenGApps Pico and it's still lagging as f***, and that's with stock UI ffs! Even my daily-driving Microsoft Lumia 950 still runs fluidly and beautifully well with no noticeable lag at all. Honestly speaking, 6GB RAM seems to be the new lowest standard for the latest Android smartphones.
