I wish Apple would try Quad Bayer and see how can they perfect that. I wish the next iPhone would get a Quad Bayer, big main camera sensor with ODAF (Omnidirectional Autofocus like Find X2 Pro and OP8 Pro).

I can bet that the camera sensor are still being sourced from Sony.

I used to own Samsung phones in the past, starting from the Note 3, then the FE. They were wonderful phones. UI is buggy or slow, but Apple's iOS are not bug-free either (with iOS 7). Exynos SoC was relatively powerful that time. I disliked the iPhone 6-X as the performance is not as good as it suggests, and I didn't find them having an interesting feature compared to Samsung flagships. (Yes, I tried an iPhone 6s and it was an average phone, nothing special).

But Apple (and several Chinese competitors, especially Huawei and Xiaomi) have caught up. Software and performance got better as well.

Wily2020, 23 Jul 2020” Now, Apple implements them on their IOS 14 phones and the... moreThis is so true. I always been an Android and Windows guy, and I kind of disliked (not hate) Apple products in the past, because they were always expensive. I bought my first Apple device when I was 35 years old, 15 years after I started buying gadgets.
But man, some people are hating on Apple so much. And the worst part is they hate other people, who have Apple products, like is some kind of rule.
The same goes with what Apple is doing as a company, no matter if they do something good or bad, they automatically hate it and saying bad words (they copy, they do not innovate, etc.). This goes to show you how little some people really are, and I am not talking about height.

mooox, 23 Jul 2020Everything had been on Android way before Apple had it. E... more” As for Apple Pay, outside of US, I don't think many people use Apple Pay, because most countries have far more technologically more advanced banks than US. There's no benefit to use Apple Pay, because it is not faster nor secure nor has better acceptance than any other chip-based wireless credit card.”

You got it very wrong, actually in US it’s least used compared to population, it’s popular in many countries and especially now with COVID the using been rising fast.

Apple pay is faster and more secure than any card (if you steal someone card you can go and start using it for wireless payment) also someone could get close to you and start milking money from you without you knowing it (that’s why there’s those safe wallets in the market nowdays). Also chip based wireless credit card have spend limit, it can also break after time. Since Apple Pay came like 4 years ago here, i’ve been using it 99,9% of times (because here in EU it works basicly everywhere) and we have advanced bank tech and i also have wireless NFC card, but taking my phone out of the pocket is just faster than taking my wallet out of my pocket and showing the card and putting it back.

And let’s not even talk about paying with Apple watch!

You don’t think many people use Apple Pay?

Well, this February before the covid” Apple Pay, the company’s mobile wallet, is gaining a notable chunk of payment transactions around the world. So much so, competition watchdogs are starting to pay attention.

As it stands, Apple Pay is responsible for around 5% of card transactions, globally. However, over the next five years this is expected to grow to 10%, Quartz reports. Eventually, Apple Pay could be competing with the likes of payment processing mainstay PayPal.

Bogdan, 23 Jul 2020What's up with this widgets? Nobody cared or talked ab... more” Now, Apple implements them on their IOS 14 phones and they become main stream over night.
I never used widgets on my Android phones in the past. Nobody that I knew, who had an Android phone in the last 3-4 years, ever used widgets. ”

Exactly most people who i know have Android phone and when i look their home screen they only have those stock widgets which are there when you start using it. Most people propably don’t even know that you can get more of them. Also those people who use widgets says most of them just sucks, they are badly made. Now with Apple widgets going to be mainstream thing just like for example Apple Pay. Google had google pay years before and hardly no-one know what it is or that they might have it.

                  true, should be this year

Everyone had always been copying each other, but Apple made it a case where it was ok for them to copy other people and not ok for other people to copy them.

As for Apple Pay, outside of US, I don't think many people use Apple Pay, because most countries have far more technologically more advanced banks than US. As a business owner outside US, I can tell you I have a lot more people using Samsung Pay than Apple Pay, though both are pretty rare nowadays.

ThePong, 23 Jul 2020Android: -Copied navigation gestures. -Copied night mod... moreNight mode has been present on Google before Apple.
                              Dark mode existed since years.

                              Gestures existed 7 years back.
Everything was available on Android via third party apps.
Split screen multitasking was there for years before it got incorporated into default OS.

Latest so called privacy feature copied by iOS 14 which already existed on Realme and miui 12.
MIUI is what iOS can only dream of becoming one day.

Apple pay was copied after NFC payments on Android.
As usual IOS is late to the party with periscope.

Shameless company is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to innovation in the smartphone segment.

Still waiting for new cooling solution for iPhones. Only graphene layers (which is only a small area, unfortunately) does not prevent severe throttling.

ToF sensor in Pro models will definitely be welcome. If they don't come with ToF sensor (and of course, USB-C port), then it may be a bit of a tough sell.
