there are better alternatives (redmi k20 pro, realme x3, x2 for nord)(iqoo3 for oneplus8) with better price available in India. I have stopped recommending oneplus to friends and family long back due to their price.

Kali, 26 Jul 2020Nothing wrong with a good marketing campaign. What exactly ... moreYou call it good, I say it not.

They promise what? If you don't understand what "hype" means, then there is no point talking anymore.

This is just a normal phone, nothing stellar. It even lacks the basic features of mid-range phone like headphone jack.

But what their marketing made them turn out to be?

€399 looks promising at first glance, however for whatever twisted reason OnePlus sells it for €459 in eastern Europe. Yeah no, that price hike kills the appeal entirely...

Show Me The Money, 27 Jul 2020I am still waiting for the Xiaom Mi A4 , pure Android, no x... moreKnowing the Mi A2 and Mi A3 far too well, you must be really brave to want that sh*tshow of pure incompetence and botched updates (that may even brick your phone) that is Xiaomi's Android One program.

I bought the Mi A2 after Xiaomi's promises that the support issues with the Mi A1 had been resolved and things would be smooth from there on (a fair assumption, given they were new to the program, and the update cadence was way faster than they were used to). Then they issued 3 effin months *in a row* updates that would brick the phone, without ever admitting to it, they just pulled the update without giving any warning or solution). Lucky me, I had OEM unlock enabled, despite not actually unlocking the bootloader. "Fool me once, shame on you."

Then I was stupid and thought that if Google was still endorsing that sh*tshow and "the internet" was still recommending it, maybe Xiaomi was cleaning up their act and they would actually deliver on the support of the Mi A3 -- they certainly didn't deliver in the specs, the price was high in Europe, so it had to be money to properly support the phone, right? Nope! It is very clear that Xiaomi does not care for the Android One program. They may have charged a "premium" in Europe vs. the rest of the world, but the support was only better in the sense it was slower: because they always launched updates later in Europe, the big sh*tshow was detected before it reached Europe -- and for quite a few months there were no updates (at all) in Europe because the sh*tshow never stopped. "Fool me twice, shame on me!"

DO NOT BUY ANDROID ONE FROM XIAOMI unless you get a very steep discount, such as pricetags well bellow 160€. There is good reason why those phones are so heavily discounted that quickly, they massively suck as the posterchild of the Android One program, and Google should be ashamed of even having then in the Android One website.

s3xy, 27 Jul 2020without OIS Poco F2 crap is just weak. without 90 Hz Poco ... morePoco F2 has
Better main sensor, despite the lack of OIS present on the k30 zoom :(
                      Better ultra wide sensor
                      Better macro sensor
Better display with hdr support and NO holes. HRR is pointless battery drainer.
                      3.5 jack
                      Better battery.
OS filled with ads is FAKE News repeatedly spread by people never used one or too dumb to switch them off.
Despite Xiaomi's stupidity to release k30pro under poco and keep the zoom exclusively for China, it is still one of the best price/performance devices available today.
while the OP is... Just another expensive midranger in the sea of midrangers which will be forgotten sooner rather than later.

                        Adreno 620 instead of 640
                        Ufs2.1 instead atleast ufs3.0
                        Headphone jack absent
These 3 were not big deal to be included in this price segment. Many phones have them and this segment.
                        It's really annoying.
I am going to buy it anyways because samsung has exynos chip which I don't like and I don't want to purchase realme oppo vivo even though they have same parent company an are brother in arms. I don't even want OnePlus but only reason I am stcking to it is oxygen os and lack of a non chinese phone at this price segment with a Snapdragon chipset

This was a great miss for OnePlus. They invested more on marketing than the user opinions from their large fan base. That pill on the screen is an eyesore. Also, there is this weird pricing problem where it costs more in some countries while being significantly cheaper in others, like in Europe. This phone was supposed to be a model for other midrangers but turns out to be an Oppo find X2 Lite running oxygen OS. At this point I'd rather go for a previous flagship or the vanilla OP 8.

No headphone jack (forcing wireless buds)
These were easy to include in a phone at this price range .

                                My $399 phone :

                                1. 60hz OLED (90hz are noticeable, but using it on an midrange chip means less consistent experience in UI, not even in games).
                                2. Stereo Speakers.
                                3. IR Blaster, NFC, MicroSD, Headphone Jack
                                4. Dual or Triple 12 MP cameras with OIS (main/ultrawide) or (main/tele/ultrawide) who needs macro and depth cameras that is only useful in marketing?
                                5. Polycarbonate back and frame (people use cases anyway and plastics have better durability and radio waves/connections)
                                6. Software updates at least 2 years
                                7. An 4G Flagship chip that is powerful (855+,Kirin 990) 5G is half baked, who needs it? Better to have an phone that is 4G but lives fast enough even at 5G era than an 5G phone that is laggy at the 5G era.

I think it's great, but I really hoped it would have a flat screen an plastic build. It would have been my dream phone

I think the Nord is a fine phone and the value for money ratio is pretty good. That 90hz display with Oxygen OS is likely to deliver great overall experience.

I cracked the screen of my Redmi note 8 pro, which also has some weird Google Chrome bugs after the last MIUI update. I am interested in getting the Nord, but will wait for the reviews before deciding.

400 EUR for phone + buds is a steal. This makes the phone 320 EUR which is a pretty good deal for what you are getting. Oxygen OS, 90Hz, 765g, 8GB ram
