26 June, 2012
WP8 is closer to the desktop Windows 8 RT than it is to the Windows Mobile-related WP7.

Looks to me like Elop is intentionally setting Nokia up so his "former" company can buy it cheap. Microsoft will need a hardware division to play in the Cloud arena with Google, iCloud, etc.

Are you trying to humiliate Nokia and its fans by painting our much loved company as a failure?

Sorry, but you failed. Nokia will always be the greatest for me and its loyal fans no matter what.

Can you "not" play games & music 12, 18, 24 months from now? Can you "not" send or receive emails 12, 18, 24 months from now? I think the phone will work just fine two years from now, my friend. Not to mention WP7 was the first instalment of Windows Phone ( Not including the older Desktop style ones) That is actually good, They had to start somewhere and people should have acknowledged that WP7 were the building blocks to something alot bigger and better. I'm planning on getting a WP8 and possible the Surface if price drops.

All the people that took the risk and decided to bet on the Windows platform with Lumia phones were rewarded with being dumped by microsoft. It's difficult to accept the fact that they didn't know that Lumia phones could not be upgraded to WP8 when they released them as flaagship W7.5 phones. They should have waited and released Lumia with multicore technology. But no, they decided to make a few more buck on some early-adopter fools that took a risk on them. microsoft no more.

Elop's stupidity is beyond belief. He announced symbian's certain expiration date and support WP7 months before the actual phone existed. Then announced that the Meego running N9 will be the Lonesome George of the said OS before it was released.
How dumb can you get, killing your own company?
If there's a Darwin Awards for technology, Elop should get flying colors.
