the naming convention of realme and redmi would stay confusing but can't doubt the choice of their processor in the right price. Under 15k, the Mediatek helio G90T is still one of the most popular ones for gaming and realme 6i features some competitive specs

This smartphone would sell well because of its Mediatek Helio G90t processor at the low cost. The camera section is also good.

There are 2 reasons why the Chinese do this:
1) Firstly they dont have one standard global price for a product. If they keep prices as per Europe and USA then the phones wont sell in countries like India. If they keep prices to suit Asian countries then they run losses in Europe and USA. Also if you have a phone selling for USD 200/- in India and the same phone being sold for USD 400/- in Germany people there wont buy.
2) It helps clear unsold inventories. These brands are making very tall claims about flash sales and shipping volumes but I am guessing a sizable quantity of the stock remains unsold. And they move this stock simply to another country under another name which allows them to sell it without discounting the price.

Oh oh this is yet another tall boy with height crossing over 160mm, width is less than 75mm. All due to its resolution 1080 X 2400. If they keep it a bit low: 1080 X 2200, it would keep Width at decent ~80mm and height under 160mm.
Someone has to knock on these manufacturers head a bit! So we get some Wider phones.

Yeah it's confusing. In Indonesia it's called Realme Narzo. Chinese manufacturer really like to confuse the user by rebranding & renaming the same phone.
