My only BT device is the PHA55BT, which was the best BT adapter on the market when I bought it and may still hold that title today. On LDAC it barely matches the quality of direct 3.5mm out from my phone(a Note8 with a "basic" DAC), with a far warmer signature that I dislike, that cannot even be completely corrected through high quality EQs like Neutron's, and has a very poor battery life. Not to mention its clip is unbelievably cheap for a $200+ product and struggles to hold the device onto any fabric, but it's what I'd have to live with if I were to go full wireless given the lack of proper choices.
Regarding "native" wireless, I tried Sony's flagship overear, it falls hopelessly short of my CIEMs, and I haven't heard anything wireless reputed to far surpass the Sony, so that covers the whole market for me. BT is a no.
And in general I don't use crappy streaming. Most of my music is lossless.

S Yu, 06 Aug 2020i.e. dongle hell or crappy audio with innumerable drawbacks... moreYou realise aux on mobile technology (phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) have a very basic DAC? Barely 1% have a proper dedicated DAC like LG used to do, so you will barely hear any difference between a wireless device that uses modern codecs like aptX adaptive, Hi-Res LDAC, LC3, etc. and a crappy aux output on a phone. Especially if your source is some streaming service like Spotify or downloaded content in mp3 format, aux is unnecessary on mobile devices for personal use. If you wanna hear amazing headphones they need to have high impedance and for that you need proper audio interface or DAC that can give them enough energy, using Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro with 250 ohm on a phone will be useless because you will not be able to power them properly.

I'll only take an adapter if it could somehow be mounted that it never breaks yet never has to be removed, like one of those battery cases, and provided it's not as ugly as Apple's.
TWS is unacceptable. In terms of audio quality alone, I tried Sony's overear BT flagship before yet it still doesn't come close to my CIEMs, even when using a BT adapter they're a notch up, so naturally since there aren't even better TWS than Sony's and assuming Sony's TWS is better than their own overear is grossly unrealistic I'm not considering any TWS, and there are other issues like battery and ease of losing one.

I am sure the price is going to be something crazy so you should include the fast charge plug. It's ashame that these companies are nickel and diming the public that buys ther products.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2020Welcome to the 21 century we have a thing called Bluetooth So you wanna be responsible for killing the high end headphone industry and leave only smartphone makers to make and sell audio gear? Okay and that is how audio technology will stagnate and fall like Intel.
There is no way anyone can make a simple dynamic driver (Neodymium driver) output audio that is as FLAC quality as the headphones with a jack.

Last year the tab s6 with 8gb ram/256 rom cost 900 bucks @ release before they lowered the price. Nobody is going to buy an Android Tablet with only two major updates when you can get an iPad Pro with 5+ years of software support for the same price.
There is no need for an Amoled panel when there are high quality lcd panels. It's especially a problem for me since I'm note-taking most of the time and worried of static interface elements (in MS One Note) causing burn in. I wish there was a 12,4 lcd option, since 12,4 is nearly A4 paper size. But still interested to see what price they'll choose, especially on the s7 non plus.

Thank you Samsung for the LCD 11' inch. I really need this. I use my tablet for reading ebooks and usually have the screen dimmed. AMOLED screens suffer from PWM and they cause headaches to me.

Too heavy for normal use in bed or in couch, especially one handed use for longer period. Seriously? Sony Z4 tablet was 395g, Tab S5E is 400g, Tab S6 is 420g and this weighs abnormal 495g!? Even iPad Pro 11 weighs 473g. That is crazy and I dont even can think about buy one because it is too heavy. And i dont even mentioned lame LCD screen!! What? I expected OLED or new Samsung QLED technology. But this? No, thank you!
