LG implemented this many years ago, albeit on the screen. there were some Chinese manufacturers that implemented it on the back of the phone after that.
It was way longer than 3 years ago. maybe 5 or 7 years ago.

Refusing to use a third party app and complaining about every thing not being put out of the box is just lazy and childish.
You guys are the same people who'll blame Xiaomi for making their Android skin heavier if they keep on giving every feature or worse calling them gimmicks since many might not even use them.
I don't see pixel series this kind of hate since they are the worst when it comes to baking in out of the box features lagging behind Chinese skins and OneUi.

Like widgets and app library on IOS 14, and many things from last years. I was an Apple fan guy, till 2015. I appreciate what they were doing that time. But everything changed...

They do that with 5G, NFC, high refresh screens, hello, none of those things are Android innovations. 5G is a standard available to anyone to use, putting it on a device first do not make you innovative, same as all the rest. How old are ya?
Like I said, wake me up when an Android vendor changes the current template we've been using since 2007. That should be easy to do since Android is so innovative, as a matter of fact I am surprise they are still using the iPhone template.

And guess what? That company will announces this high refresh rate thing as 'innovation' on their release

It's funny when some speak of some feature on Android like widget, hello! Apple have been making OS for well over 30years and they've had widget on Mac OS for a least a decade before Google was even form. There are very few things that are totally new on mobile that was not done at some point on desktop OS. Both Windows and Mac OS had all of those things before, so I would not use that as ammunition against iOS. Besides isn't Android a whole sale clone of iOS? A more open clone but a clone nevertheless.
I don't think anyone from Android camp should say anything about iOS as long as Android remains an iOS clone. You can't scream at someone from copying you when your whole OS was lifted from them to begin with. My biggest disappointment is the fact that no one from the Android camp have changed the game. We are still stuck using the same boring template from 2007. When is anyone going to move us from the Apple/iOS/iPhone template. That's what I am waiting for, wake me up when that happens.

pleasure, 28 Jul 2020this makes apple very clever in simple way no android phone... moreI'd agree to it, Apple is clever enough since it has got this feature implemented before Google can do it on Andriod but no not innovative enough as old days as its a feature which was announced by andriod or was revealed as an upcoming feature on andriod 1st.
Apple is no more innovative but clever for sure
since, i can see IOS 4 bring not just 1 feature of tap gesture but also widget feature too whihc orignally was only possble in andriod at 1st.
anyways, kudos to apple, did a good job with the new features on ios 14.. this would help their users alot in some way or other :)

Andriod have been working on it since from long time but the sad part is the feature is not out yet.
Good that apple was able to implement this feature/guestre before android But originally it is an idea or innovation of google (Andriod)
On XDA an article about the same was out in the month of feb, 2020 and Apple IOS 14 was released on 22nd of june, 2020.
hence, you cannot say, it is an apple's Innovation.
