Why isn't samsung using the most recent cortex cores? Then the performance gap might close between the 865+ and exynos 990.

They have to start somewhere and they are starting now to propagate Exynos as rumours have it that they might move away from SnapDragon for all their phones. I hope they really can improve on the former. If not, if the rumours are true, I am afraid their sales will go south because consumers lately have become more aware of the difference in all aspects between SnapDragon and Exynos.

There was some apparent leaks of the note 20 on geekbench. It scored basically the same as the s20 range. So this whole thing about the exynos 990 being the same as the snapdragon 865+ isn't true in my opinion and just someone making up rumours. Unless Samsung is going to release a huge update that optimizes on both phones, I highly doubt the exynos 990 will catch up. Maybe Samsung might prove us wrong though since they have not said much about this whole thing

Adapt to change or be forgotten samsung its 2020 and yall still haven't realized that if you can't fix camera software issues and multimedia issues iPhone will continue to thrive its not the chip and its not the camera its the software omg 🤦🏾♂️

And many different models of phones back then could probably had some over heating devices that shut down. And the s810 devices were no exception.
Doesn't make it good. But it's irrelevant side tracking points.

Put it this way. Samsung has absolutely no option but to improve the 990 chip for the note 20 range. To many people are on the bandwagon now and know the truth about the very poor 990 in the s20 range. If Samsung hasn’t improved the chip they will simply lose sales. There are better phones for cheaper. It’s only the s pen that is saving the note at the moment. People will start to say hell with the s pen if Samsung continue to rip us off. What we need is someone else to start incorporating a stylus like the note. I wouldn’t hesitate now to jump ship. I was once a loyal note fanboy. I have no loyalty to Samsung anymore. I’ll probably not even get the note 20 ultra after all they’ve done

Why not Snapdragon for all un... moreExynos is Samsung's own in-house chip meaning they have huge financial reasons for keep pushing the chip towards certain markets. If they don't, they'll lose a lot money. Ofc this can't go on forever so they have to figure something out sooner or later. If the gap between Exynos and Snapdragon performance gains continue to widen they stand to lose a lot of customers.

Looks like Samsung wants to get rid of huge unsold(pandemic aside, look at S20 & S20 Ultra's pretty poor sales, S20+ sold somewhat) stock of Exynos 990 SoCs and paid reviewers will take care of the rest defending the hot garbabe 990.

Severe heating 🔥 issue on exynos models and battery 🔋 drain issue not solve yet. Pls watch youtube comparison between exynos and snapdragon on samsung models.
