Google, at least make sure that ICS is rolled out to all handsets before this is released.

If JB is a more optimised version of ice cream sandwich it should be compatible with the current ics phones and maybe if optimised well enough it could even run properly on phones that don't run ics.
This of course is dependent on whether the manufacturers can be bothered to support older handsets rather than just push their new ones. Hopefully they went disappoint us.

I hope that they've povided proper rendering support for Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, etc.

Well done to Google for working hard to update their product; Apple is probably looking for ways to sue them already. The only cloud on the horizon is the ICS launch debacle; most phones still haven't got it yet, so when are they gonna launch Jelly Bean, or will they skip ICS altogether on some handsets?

I watched the entire presentation and was most impressed at the mature and intuitive approach to what is mostly an incremental update.
Apple presentations that I've attended have unfortunately come across as condescending and insulting to competition and more so their intended customers.
Misinformation and talking down is not necessary if you are marketing a solid and well founded and reliable product at a fair price. Such tactics are not in the spirit of technical advancement and to me, express a fear of competition and do not inspire confidence.
I feel people are slowly waking up to the corporate games and are growing tired of underhand tactics.
Google, at least may be starting to realize this. Well done guys!

Goog... moreI disagree you with that local scout feature in WP.Google maps had that feature known as Local way before than Bing maps on WP.Android had the voice assistant feature as 3rd party apps before Apple integrated and drastically improved their voice assistant feature SIRI.The only weakness of android was lagging UI which is also being fixed with Jelly Bean update.

Google themselves showed ICS is sluggish and not lag free.they put some name called project butter to show lag free UI .It took them 4 years to fix that lag issue , now thats impressive from android trying to bring lag free UI.
Local restaurants etc. is something similar to local scout feature of mango phones.
Voice assistant is same as Siri. Jelly bean brings nothing new , it is catching up in areas where WP and iOS are strong.

The best os yet so down to earth. Nothing flashy like iphone or mic surface but this update is what you need and I like google philosophy to bring the smartphone and tablet to every people. I already happy with ics but jb will make my phone awesome.
