If my Lumia was getting WP8 I'd definitely get an 808. As it is, happy to wait foe a WP8 handset with PV tech.

I love its 720p recording, photos, fm transmitter, battery life (battery the biggest problem of android), hdmi connectivity, these are all modern features not old, and off course this is all down to anna and belle update, which this people havent used it but still right off symbian as complete fail.

poundage, 28 Jun 2012Unfortunately I can only see this as a huge fail for Nokia,... moreYes, I'm one of these. Great photophone, witch all free access, even whitout web connexion... I love that, being able to transfer music, pictures, movies and all files I want to a PC or tablet without having to pay a lot when I'm abroad, and that's the principal advantages Symbian has about iOS or Windowsphones. And free offline GPS too, very very good and complete in Nokia Symbian phones!

This just shows how greedy the networks are. They aren't interested in providing the best service, only extracting the most cash out of us!!!

SIM free is the BEST option to buy a smartphone.
NOTHING IS FREE IN A CONTRACT. Contract is the most expensive way to buy a smartphone.

Like, the best audio equipment is ugly too, the best tools, weapons, whatever, most professional stuff is "ugly" but it means business. And it's too heavy too? Grow stronger, lady. ;-)

People will buy it for the camera. I would never take a phone on contract anyway, all my phones are SIM free. Why would I want to pay the networks extra?

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2012I swear all you techy geeks miss the point most of the time... moreYou make some point and you forget user also look on appearance.

This 808 is way too bulky, ugly and small screen size, this all is already a dead point to let it success selling it.

And for tech people, most not even will go check and look on it at all.

808 ugly design, bulky body, crap resolution, bad OS = Fail product.

We are not talking about a cheap phone. With all the emphasis they made in imagery they should at least let you appreciate it in its full splendor.

About SGS3's screen and 808's screen comparison, there's no contest. SGS3 has 4x the pixels and about doubles the pixel density in a bigger panel. N9 has a great screen though.

Well said. Why would people go out, have a life, take photos, have fun, when they can stay at home, get overweight, waste data, watch photos and videos that someone else made and happily call it "technology"?
