the fact is RIM need to establish who their market is. 5 years ago they were just for business. now in the UK because of BBM their main market is 10-20yr olds, but they haven't changed the layout or made the phones 'fun' for this market. if they want to focus on the business market again they need to figure out what they can do to make themseleves attractive to companies. personally they need 2 versions of software and hardware, one thats fun for kids and the other that is a one stop shop for busniess.

The biggest problem with rim and nokia was that they overheard every voice of dynamism that was beating the smartphone world frm far ahead. Few years back, nokia and rim used to be d titans of smartphone game, bt now they r fighting for survival. Even i, as a smartphone fanatic since long, never expected such a rapid turnaround in this area. Even today, there is no guarantee of how long even android and apple would stay. It needs just a spark of next gen innovation in smartphone os and these brands would be another rim story. And iphone owners, don't take it as a joke.

BIS is much cheaper than Android and iPhone data plans here in the Philippines depending on the carrier.

- forgetting ... moreAnd they always complain that BIS is expensive, BB phones are expensive. They don't realize that they are also paying for the network infrastructure(you may correct me if i'm wrong with the term) and the security they provide aside from the phone.
Here in the Philippines BIS plans is much cheaper than android and iphone data plans. I do also own iphone, installed with 43 apps which i no longer use for 2 months now. And I have 15 apps on blackberry which 12 of them are used daily.

BB device is very expensive, too expensive (in the same range of price with the other phone)
come on, cut it half... your spec is not good but the price is very high...

They need to free up this phone from the BiS services or at least to the minimum an option to to use BIS. Why someone would use BB for social network apps, when tons of cool android phones and you can use the network services free of charge from the phone maker?
I've always praised the keyboard on the BB,but that's it. Not enough to bring to success to the era of touch interface.

the ones who keeps complaining about RIM,
- forgetting about most responsive qwerty keyboard,
- anyone who dislike BBM, has never used one (take any advantage of BBM),
- touch screen device? android or apple? only good for gaming, multimedia and e-book Reader, and NONE for productivity. (thats why after 6 months, people who owns tablets stick with their notebooks in writing emails.)

The most is dakota 9900. Here, in indonesia BB still become top phones in the market (same with india or south africa). But globally, RIM is sinking now. Even in singapore, malaysia and another south east asia countries, the popularity of RIM is gone day by day

The big problem with Blackberry it's force us to charge the service to use windows live messenger and facebook , and you can not use them via Wifi or 3G
RIM you must free this device by using it with any service

Nine years user only BB phone and I was always very satisfied. The best model so far in the 9780's bold was, what I sincerely regret that I changed in 9900 bold. From this model expect the best, but instead it only annoying : crashes frequently, and was thinking of a then still I can not call. What is the worst that the battery runs down a half days. That this model is thought that such a weak bateries give? I purchased the BB 9900 as published in Cluj Napoca (Romania), but after two weeks so that all frost annoying simply dropped down to the first floor. 3 days after you bought the new 9900 bold. I sincerely hope that the troubles of which I climbed out, firstly because I do not want to replace the BB, but free from hunger is a very good program and I should phone the guarding. Do not pull the time RIM ! I'm sorry that I have not written correctly in English but unfortunately I do not know English. I hope that you can understand

the problem with blackberry phones is that they cannot penetrate developing markets because they demand an additional charge for the use of their bbm service. consumers do not want to pay for messaging service when there are many free ones out there. why not give out the bbm service for free. maybe they can lure new customers...

I only see this as coming to be bankrupt.. I think that the BB10 phone could do a comeback to the company but they need to serouly promote their products more and bring better quality phones

goodbye RIM. with the kind of devices you have and their price tags, you have no chance against the andriod, ios, symbian and windows users. i want my device to do more, specially if i am paying more. that is why i will never use any blackberry device. the build quality sucks too. E series are a lot better and other android business oriented devices. bbm is all you have and it is not worth for your asking price.
