The former CEO's of RIM Mike and Jim are the ones to blame due to their one track minds. Wishing RIM all the best but the future really looks very Dark for RIM. But they might come back with a bang as here in South Africa RIM is still dominating. Im still a big BB fan i will wait for the next devices BB10 that they will release and give them one last chance.

What hurt RIM was that time earlier this year when all the Blackberry internet services and email went down for days worldwide. The people who rely on these services had no choice but to get a regular phone which isn't tied to an outdated service like that.

So where are these guys going wrong at the moment. When I bought my 9700 when it came out it was the phone to have. Construction quality was and still is one of the best on the market. What happened? Did they change their supply chain. Where did they go wrong to produce so many terrible mobiles. The 9780 is huge as is the 8950 and 9360 but after these, the quality of BB mobiles are so varied it turns people off.

My thoughts for what they're worth: RIM need to succeed in my view and I'm sure they will. I for one don't want to see an iOS/Android only choise out there in a couple of years, perhaps with Windows phones a distant third. Come on RIM, sort it out and I will be first in line for your BB10 device whenever it arrives!

Such a loss will be harder for RIM to recover by the end of the fiscal year. By then, they will be nothing but dust in the presence of other platforms. Doomsday cometh.

RIM products are so lame and outdated. Even the old Nokia E71 is more versatile than RIM's new Curve lineup. Sad bad true, there will be no RIM in 2014.

What a pity. I still like the BB and will continue to buy them for our business. You should all note the recent court case in Australia referring to how they used the total recording of personal usage with an iPhone to arrest a suspect. Even when you charge your mobile. Worse is Android where your every action is recorded and marketed to all by Google. This is serious where your personal behavior is sold to marketing agents and who ever.

Not a patch on my GS3 of course but seems decent although very dissapointed in display quality especially when browsing the web (although I'm probably just spoiled with my device).
Man these physical keys feel weird!

The problems:
1. Pricey device among its rivals (ex: bold 9900)
2. Long to boot-up (even OS7)
3. Poor apps (quality/quantity)
4. Same old concept with different 'cassing'
5. Limited OS
What else?
I've got bold 9900 dakota and I hate for its unstabble OS. For example when u turn up the screen, sometimes it feels so laggy. Button didn't give any respon at all for at least 5-10seconds. Sometimes I got a loading indicator on screen for no reason (no running application/multitasking condition, no full memory). Processor 1.2GHz just a sh*t! Useless! Even my old GALAXY S I9000 never had a problem at all (with 1GHz processor). The same things was happened too for my friend's Torch 9810 Jennings. Stupid OS7! Shame on u RIM. Never ever buy another RIM's products

That's the exact same situation in Venezuela and honestly it's about fucking time this whole BlackBerry thing goes away, carriers stopped bringing new devices from other manufacturese and OS (except the iPhone) because of those "smartphones".
Not that it makes me glad this enterprise is falling like a shot down airplane, but they have been stuck on the same thing for far too long.

The BB10 OS Release delay is a joke.
By the time RIM gets to market with BB10, its OS and devices will still be 2 generations behind the competition.
Sadly, I will be leaving the Blackberry format for either a Windows mobile based smartphone or Android.
RIM's days are limited.

RIM so had it coming.
The primary reason why this is good news for me is that as a BlackBerry 9360 user, I've had nothing but a hellish experience with the phone ever since I purchased it in March 2012. I had it replaced with a referbished unit 12 days in and it's still just as bad.
Their phones take extremely long to boot-up and the battery life is the worst I've ever experienced on a handset in my entire life, amoungst other issues.

Problem 2 Why are the apps of such poor quality?
Problem 3 Why wasn't BB10 launched two years ago instead of OS6 when sales started dropping and adding OS7 an incremental upgrade?
