Anonymous, 07 Aug 2020"many people can't see the difference" i ... moreWell actually, there ARE many peoples who don't see the difference.
Just googling "60hz 120Hz can't see difference" and already you have lot of links of peoples saying they don't see any difference.
This mean, I am just stating a fact, how good or bad my answer is is irrelevant in this situation.
But you have a biased opinion anyway, it wouldn't even surprise me if you were part of those bashing the K30 Pro for having a 60Hz display.

LG Superfan, 07 Aug 2020Of course last year high refresh rate wasn't mainstrea... moreExcept that the usefulness of vehicles and internet is FAR GREATER than higher refresh rate.
Literally, fast transportation can be the difference between life and death or the only possibilities for some peoples to live in remote area, internet allowed to communicate all around the globe and share informations without physically sending them, creating an impressive number of employments and driving the economy of most of the biggest nations.

Higher refresh rate on the other hand, many peoples doesn't actually even see the difference, the phone and all the apps on it work fine without it, actually many apps doesn't work with it, it consume more battery (not twice as peoples believe because the backlighting is what burn the most battery and it doesn't change depending on the refresh rate), for Oled it cost a lot more...
I am not saying it is useless, negative or not desirable, but it is clearly not a necessity and shouldn't be considered as a critical deal or break point.
Removing stupid holes and cut out out of the display is WAY MORE important as it does constantly affect negatively the display (among many other issues punch holes and notches do cause), in any other market (TV, monitors, laptops, etc) basically everyone would choose a low resolution and refresh rate monitor over a 4K 144Hz one that have a bunch of dead pixels on it.

There are more than games to be displayed on a monitor, there are tons of peoples who would want a 4K monitor simply because 4K is trending, many other could use the higher resolution for non game related things.
Also, I do have a 1080Ti but clearly not the budget for a 1000¤ monitor (even if I wanted 4K 144Hz), there are tons of things that are way more important I could upgrade on my computer rather than a monitor, I could literally switch from my I7 6700k to a Ryzen 5 3600 and upgrade my super old SATA SSD to a M2 NVMe SSD for 1000¤
Also, the reason I have such graphic card with a cheap 1080p monitor (IIyama G2730HSU) is because I took this 1080Ti for VR, and I would not hesitate a single instant to replace my old Rift for a Valve Index for 1000¤ over taking a monitor with a resolution that make little difference from a 1440p one, that's a no brainer.
And if I were to upgrade my monitor, I would took a Asus VG279Q or something similar, but it has more to do with input lag than refresh rate, and on PC this is totally different, it isn't as if smartphone gaming was all about milliseconds reaction time and highly competitive environment.

So again, higher refreshing rate is nice, but isn't an ultra important factor, privacy or good cameras or a 3.5mm jack is way higher on the priority list.

The point was that, regardless of the resolution, there ARE 60Hz gaming monitors.

Jo., 06 Aug 2020FHD at 60hz for 1k dollars, that game pass doesn't matterGamePass is available on any android phone...

so yeah, I dont see any value in it, other than having to play some games on these devices a month or two earlier than anyone else.

AnonD-909757, 06 Aug 2020Just remember that it is less than a year since smartphone ... moreOf course last year high refresh rate wasn't mainstream so not many wanted it. Tell me can you travel far without a vehicle? When vehicles weren't common nobody bothered about thinking it would become a necessity. A few years ago when internet didn't exist nobody needed it but now it's one of the most important things which we need in our lives
And 60Hz gaming monitor you mentioned has 4K resolution and is aimed at budget gamers who want 4K gaming but can't afford the high cost of 4K 144hz monitors which cost around $1000 and then you need tons more to be able to run games at the max settings

Bogdan, 06 Aug 2020So what, people should just stop buying FHD 60Hz panels now... moreHave you ever used a 144hz screen with 4K and true 10bit ? From your comment I can see that you haven't. Lets talk with the producers and tell them to produce only FHD screens with 60hz because some of you can't afford them or you are simply ignorant. Lets also tell people to stop technology from advancing and lets stop at FHD. Your comment reminds me of people that kept saying that TFT 720P screen should have never been invented because CRT screens were the best and very durable. And the list can keep going on and on. LoL.

LG Superfan, 06 Aug 2020I agree with resolution part, FHD is enough but I disagree ... moreJust remember that it is less than a year since smartphone with over 60Hz is a thing, every gaming smartphones until then had 60Hz and no one had any issues with it.
So having more than 60Hz is of course nice and pleasant, but is it REALLY that bad if it hasn't ?

Literally a hole in the display is a way worse thing than the standard of refresh rate, yet almost every smartphones come with a big chunk of dead pixels, which is actually what no one would tolerate in anything else than smartphones, because many budget users do buy 60Hz displays, but almost everyone return the monitor if it have a dead pixel and is still under warranty.
Which, by the way, there are 60Hz gaming monitors, like the Asus VG289Q which is specifically marketed as a gaming monitor, with the standard marketing image showing it displaying a "TUF Gaming" text.
And many other 60Hz monitors have game enhanced modes/features.

Daniel, 06 Aug 2020When you will have a true gaming monitor for your PC with 2... moreSo what, people should just stop buying FHD 60Hz panels now, just because 4k 120Hz exist? Or manufacturers should stop producing them? This is nonsense.
This is just gimmick and companies know this (the same like 5G), that is why they charge extra money for something that is not that necessary or important to have at this point. Especially if people need to pay much more for this features.
Of course, is not the case with Note 20, where Samsung doesn't give anything and still charges big money.
But nowadays FHD 60Hz panels are just underrated. And people who are using this kind of devices, should be really happy with them, because they are still very good for years to come.
