Jo., 06 Aug 2020FHD at 60hz for 1k dollars, that game pass doesn't matterIn my opinion for phones, FHD is more than enough, I can't see pixelation on my 6.4 inch display which means it is more than enough for me and most people. Stop asking for higher resolution (somewhat gimmicks). And trust me, most people doesn't care about having 60 fps,it is smooth enough.

Jo., 06 Aug 2020FHD at 60hz for 1k dollars, that game pass doesn't matterLOL look at most, if not all, competitive mobile gaming tournaments and see what they're using? An iPhone with 60Hz display. Even a PC game is far more comfortable running in steady 60Hz/fps compared to inconsistent and jumpy frame rates between 40-100fps with a tearing effect as a bonus.

Jo., 06 Aug 2020FHD at 60hz for 1k dollars, that game pass doesn't matterWhy are you all obsessed with extreme resolution and frequency on a Smartphone ?
It isn't as if you were in a competitive gaming situation...

My PC's main display is a 27" 1080P display that run at 75Hz, and I don't see the need to upgrade, MAYBE to a 1440p but that's all, and I am fine with 75Hz, and it isn't as if I didn't have the power to run games to higher resolutions, because I have a GTX 1080Ti.

Yes, I know, you hold a phone closer than you sit from a monitor, but seriously, if on 27" 1080p is fine, why the same resolution would be bad on a sub 7" display that sit just a third of the distance ?
Smartphone resolution is in a spot where we can't see individual pixels, which is the idea behind Apple's Retina display :
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retina_display
And while the iPhone 11 Pro have 463 pixels per inch (ppi) and the 11 Pro Max 456, the base iPhone 11 who still have an excellent pixel density have "only" 324 ppi while the Galaxy Note have a 393 ppi density.
Yes the Ultra have 507, but does it mean that the base Note 20 have poor pixel density ?
It only mean harder time for the SoC to handle the graphics because of the higher resolution and more battery drain.
And over 60Hz in a non competitive environment won't matter much, 60 vs 120 is something that many tests show isn't the most obvious difference as much peoples won't be able to tell which one is which without comparison (just showing them one), I am not saying it is useless, it add a pleasant benefit, but why would it be a necessity ?
In VR both pixel density and frequency are critical because of the motion sickness issue, but that's basically it.
But since ever we used 60Hz displays and we didn't even knew we "needed" something better, so why would it suddenly become SO important ?

So if anything, without the stupid curved display that distord the image and cause glares, higher FPS thanks to less resolution to compute with the same SoC, and with less battery drain, the base Note 20 is a better gaming phone than the Ultra.
