Searching is a "Standard" thing. Yes Patent the source code but you can't patent the action. Phones are just small computers... Should Apple seek a ban on Windows Computers for the "Start Search" option in the Start Menu ... it searches everywhere..?? Maybe Google should pull access to their search engines and sources when accessed via "SIRI" .. they wouldn't be making any advertisement revenue from it anyway. That would stick it to Apple. And yes - it is like Apple Patenting "Using a Button, on a Touch device to power on the unit" ... they add the word "Touch Device" to everything and it beomed a patent ... Really pathetic.

What ever happened to a free market? Apple are snakes for doing this. All phones are going to share certain features. Apple don't have the right to think they own everything. . , how many phones use slide to unlock ?? It just seems like desperation tactics from apple. .. FAIL

Lame attempt by Apple. I seriously can't wait to see the iPhone 5 and how laughably behind it will be opposed to the currend droids. I'm glad their fanbase is getting smaller day by day, everybody I know already moved from iPhones to droids...I dare You to do the same...

im not surprised of this ban! They have already been frightened by the achievement of google's new "buttery smooth project" and cool new usefull stuffs unlike ios6 crapdate .

Apple is the lamest company ever, this just proves how they can't face competition. Google should sue Apple for that "multiple search whatever" Google is a search engine for Jesus' sake!
Apple just re-releases stuff under a different name.
iPad is a large iPhone.
iPod is an iPhone with no GSM/3G support.
iOS 5 is now called iOS 6.
iPhone 4s is iPhone 4 with extra core and pixels.
I use Blackberry, so I have no side in this battle, but Apple is seriously lame.

Absolutely ridiculous!!!!! Can't see any of them being valid, although "prior art" is a bit different in the USA to other countries, so effectively the Nexus is being "banned" due to something that was around before Apple bother to patent it. Ridiculous.

ok apple have more market share than bmw and maybe a porcelain company,other than android.
they are good at this but they will be fall if they continue walking on this path. Just see who is taking trash on their "big event" , who is trying so hard to banish other company service from their OS, even tough they have to replace it with a lower quality service?

As I emphasised before.TO MY EYES of all the phones I've tried and not just read about on the internet (HTC ONE X,iPhone 4S,Sony Experia etc)the Galaxy S3 does it for me more than any other.I don't expect anyone else to see the world through my eyes but I do allow them to make up their own minds what is good to them without judging them as having lower intelligence because their opinion differs from mine.

Apple can't compete with Samsung, so they go through the back door. It's not a good business practice. They should spend more time and money like Samsung to to more R & D for new products; instead of hitting competitors from the back door. For me, I do not like the idea of Apple, so I never buy any Apple products in the past, now and in the future. Don't give up Samsung and Google!
