Dang! I just bought the WH-1000XM3 a few months ago. I should have waited but since working from home with kids screaming an crying triggers the impulse to buy it the soonest as possible.

Also , they would have to... moreaptx hd is still decent, i just noted (read about a minute ago) that walkman blog states that the new wh-1000xm4 uses MT2811S mediatek system on chip which does not support aptx hd, but has better noise cancellation capibilities than the previous system on a chip

Wonder why they dropped support for Qualcomm aptx hd? The chipset don't support it or to minimise licensing fees? At least they still support their own high resolution audio codec ldac

Finally worthy upgrade
I love the way Sony keeps it simple with the same cloak but internal upgrades at least if not the Q1 chipset
