07 August 2020
The co-founder wanted to try something different, so instead of tearing down the phone, he assembled one piece by piece.

The problem with oneplus nord is... Oneplus Nord itself. The phone doesn't really life up to the hype. If they didn't blast the hype, the phone itself will looks fine actually, but won't really gain much exposure.

Doesn't mean that we will be interested to buy one. Unfortunately it failed the durability test.

Is BBK in such dire straits that they need one of their clone companies' CEOs to man the assembly lines now?

Fail "PR" video. Fail overhyped device. OnePlus is swirling down the pipes in the recent years. It's really a punch in the gut to the users of the original 1+ who made the company what it is.

There is nothing wrong with the video, it is a nice effort to market a midrange mobile phone.
The issue is with the phone itself and the pricing bracket of the phone.

if you have a little more to spend
there are far better options (even from 1+) some with longer/better support
              else
competing alternatives offer better value for money

You will not need an Economics degree from Stockholm to figure this out.

All camera lenses covered in fingerprints. Alert slider pre-broken. Poor QC.

                  Another shitty style of marketing

Great video.. but just spend a bit extra and get the OnePlus 7t. Much better experience

You know what I mean. Plus it's got screen problems. Screen tint issue, because of the poor quality of the screen.

                              It all staged & rehearsed.

and here, my local handphone technician literally could upgrade iphone rom storage :D

Don't like this hyped phone and assembling the components is not exactly rocket science but it's nice to see an executive do this. I wonder how many suits in other companies probably just read reports and order their assistants around.
