Apple says game streaming services like Microsoft's xCloud violate App Store policies

07 August 2020
This applies to Nvidia's GeForce Now and Google's Stadia as well. It's why xCloud testing on iOS was ended early.

In any case Apple systems and OS are not fit for gaming in any case. Their game titles are not pro grade and not as advanced in other options available. Very limited few good ones probably available. Apple is throwing their towels on their brand equity than any solid reasons! 30% cut is what preventing MS to work with Apple, soon many developers do the same...

Apple is good. Apple knows what's good for you. Apple is good.
              Obey.

To me, the consumer is the loser in this situation. If Apple is trying to control its App Store, then the U.S. Department of Justice has to intervine and force Apple to open up its Walled Garden of its iOS ecosystem (its own App Store included), or else permanently relinquish control of its business, and will be required to pay $999 centillion USD plus 100,000,000% fees and interest, as well as sell off all of its Assets and Cash to smaller tech companies, and the penalties cannot be appealed at all, even if it reaches the Supreme Court, and regardless of Verdict in the Court of Law. This also applies to any other Big Tech companies in the Silicon Valley...

Anti-competitive. Call in the lawyers. It's none of their business what people put on their, seperate legal entity, own screens from third party seperate legal entities. That content is not sold through their stores at all, so has nothing to do with them.

It is exactly the same as demanding to approve any video or audio file, you even shoot yourself, before it can be played on your own device. Very short sighted.

If the reason for rejection is that Apple cannot review each and every game offered on the xCloud then does Apple review all items on Amazon, Netflix, etc.

Actually, if Apple does not allow a 'marketplace' within a 'marketplace' then how are apps for any marketplace (eBay, Amazon, etc.) allowed on iOS ??

That's a bit strange but Apple really needs to be more flexible.

Now I don't need to depend upon some stoopid Cr@p Store to get my apps or stream a service.
Plenty of useful apk I use on my OP8 pro are not available on playstore.
I Don't know what would I do without the availability of these apps on iOS as the ecosystem is completely locked & restricted beyond the Appstore.
