Ohh my god guys this is not about Monopoly, Apple doesn't want large game publishers like Microsoft streaming heavily discounted/sibsidised games to be competing with Indie to Medium size developers on iOS, and you can call it anti competitive but it makes sense. The playing field should be levelled.

iOS is only for Instagrammers, Snapchatters and influencers. They don't need no nerdy "games". Apple, also kick out GeForce Now. People only want to play cute and cuddly mobile games inside your safe and secure walled garden. Here is my money $$$

paco2x, 07 Aug 2020So, if Sony decides to launch PS Now for mobile devices... ... moreThey're obviously on the wrong side of history, in this case. I'm sure it's only temporary. Eventually, they won't have any choice but to relent.

I honestly think this is purely a marketing excuse and the real issue is customer experience. Game streaming service test on Apple devices have had more issue then on high end Android devices. Anyone who has done repeated side by side speed tests can confirm Apple devices usually have a higher network latency especially on data services and on devices with intel modems. Apple will allow these services, but probably only after the their problem devices filter out of the market.

Well apple is right.
If Apple closes its bussiness problem is solved because noone will bother with streaming issues.
Ift will be far better than sending by apple to the courts for violating microsoft, nvidia and stadia for policies and the courts proves apple is wrong they only talk big as always.
Multi trillion billion company and still needs every single penny shredded and skeved from others because they feel really poor.
How unfortunate.

Well I understand why Apple didn’t allow xCloud on their store but if you come to think about it, a game like Roblox also includes games inside it, does apple review all those games? or it’s just a move against Microsoft?

if that is the case, then many other game streaming apps should be taken off the app store too. i am pretty mad xCloud isnt coming to iOS at least for now. doesn't apple also sell xbox controllers at their retail stores too?

paco2x, 07 Aug 2020So, if Sony decides to launch PS Now for mobile devices... ... moreWell, there was a reason why Mackintosh was not gaming computer and why iPhone is taking unreasonably high share of market and why it will shrink in future.

Or, $15 to microsoft, $5 to apple, so iphone users will pay extra. But I would say they should be already used to that if they own apple device.

"fair field" lol. They just want money from it... so much for having an iphone. The same as having PS and not be able to play older games or in such way... Just hope trend of bans wont cause fair field worldwide. ice age then.

hmm, 07 Aug 2020Apple is just sore cause they lose out on hell of a lot mon... moreTrue, they definitely don't want to lose their 30% share from their app store. Samsung on the hand doesn't have this problem since almost no one use their samsung apps store and prefer Google play store instead.
It's not about apps safety, it's more about apple's greediness.
I think it will be interesting if this kind of services turn out to be good, since it will finally give android tablet a competitive advantage compare to ipad.

I was just waiting for xcloud on my tablet and was thinking to buy and renew my ipad for it with a bigger screen 13 inch but then reading this. So I pre-order now the Samsung Tab S7+ that is a little cheaper and is 12,4 inch with free case and pen. The xbox controller I have enough and I'm also xbox ultimate member....................... I wonder also this afternoon if I uberhaupt gone buy the new iphone in october , also because my battery is off and have a damaged screen. So pre-ordering the tablet made me also buy the Xiaomi Mi 10 pro that costed 750 euro and has great specs.
My friend showed me it and it has nice gesture and swipe, great camera and good sound and gone move over to the Droid side after 6 years.

Apple is just sore cause they lose out on hell of a lot money if people can stream play on android and these games are better then any app store can offer. You get to play games on mobile that are made for console or desktop PC's. Now for Apple it will lose out of the tax from the app for streaming games and from all the games that are in these streaming apps. Apple wants control over the app of streaming games and all the games in the streaming game. Why dont the Apple cry over Netflix that they dont get any movies and tv shows revenue from them.
Now they will just lose loyal customers who will move on to samsung just to play good games on there phones cause they are too greedy for all the reasons above
