Ulhaq, 12 Aug 2020They used to be made in India sorry not now. Now HMD Global... moreNokia was produced in China even.before microsoft overtaken. They had factories in china. Now, most of the devices that are soled in India, are made in india and in the rest of the world, for the moment, are made in china. Pretty much like any other chinese or not chinese device on the market right now.

Anna, 12 Aug 2020Will this finally able to remove that ugly teardrop notch o... moreNokia 8 (don't know if the others too) has recive a bootloader unlock option a looong time ago. But this only because people asked for it. I see no rrason as of why would people destroy their security just for the sake of a "cumstom" ROM. I mean, 98% of those people have no idea what root access means and how dangereous it can be beeing Root on android.

Kek, 12 Aug 2020For those saying "HMD is not a chinese company", ... moreWhether a company is Chinese or not is based on where it's headquarter is or who are it's investors or where the phone is actually manufactured. Never knew that a company's origin is tied to it's CEO's residence history. Is there no value to the design team or manufacturing team's locations?

For those saying "HMD is not a chinese company", just check where Juho lived until just recently. He lived in Shenzen, which is in China. If that doesnt makes them a Chinese company, then we can say Xiaomi is not chinese, too.

HMD has still not released a good solid device since Nokia 7 Plus and 8.1. And I really doubt at this time they will release something worth your money. They literally have no advantage over other OEMS.

Anonymous, 12 Aug 2020Lol joking might be by mistakenly you came here instead of ... moreI mentioned HMD and Nokia and made references to their past models and even their proprietary tech. How did you arrive at the conclusion that I came here mistakenly instead of being on a Xiaomi comment thread? I’ve never used a Xiaomi device and neither has anyone in my family.

Ulhaq, 12 Aug 2020They used to be made in India sorry not now. Now HMD Global... moreNope, they are still made in FoxConn factory in Tamil Nadu. Do check up please. Nokia 7 plus was the first one made there. Now almost all are being made there. FoxConn also makes many other brand phones there too. Not just Nokia.

Just FYI - I'm still using Nokia 7 plus. I recently got Nokia 4.2 for my dad and it has the same manufacturing address as well. "Made in India".

AnonD-731363, 12 Aug 2020So maybe a future Nokia 9 will be the best phone so far :-)Come to think about it, the Nokia 9.3 is long overdue now.

I wanna like, celebrate and buy Nokia phones ... but all they do is talk ... no substance or products!

Anonymous, 12 Aug 2020hmd is actually a chinese companyThanks for making me laugh. HMD is a Finish company registered in Finland. Almost all Nokia phones sold in India are made in India. So how does the company become Chinese?

Anonymous, 12 Aug 2020hmd is actually a chinese companyTheir phones are made in China, that is true, but they do not own the company.

You may have big plans, but you did not even release the Nokia 8.3, and what about the 9.3 flagship? If you will announce it at IFA, you will release it this year??

The only thing that will change is that now they'll be even more overpriced. But still be generic chinese phones under a rented brand. Nothing new on the horizont. Even Gcam can't address the crap sensors they use in their phones.

As someone that has a deep distrust of Chinese oems, and not a fan of Samsung as all there phones come with adverts on most pages, I'm happy for Nokia, I'm from Europe, and think its great I'll be able to get a good 5g phone from a European oem, Chinese can't be trusted, and with Google and qualcomm throwing there weight behind Nokia, good things are coming down the pipeline. And about time to, no more looking to the far East for tech,

Maybe you bought a fake Xiaomi. HMD only release low end phones with premium prices due to their rented brand. But, at the end you are buying outsourced crap phones made in Cheap factories at China.

Now they will be even more expensive and can't wait to watch what aberrations they release.
