It would be imposible to have a pureview and android. First of all, Nokia will need to develop a real cellphone, not that crap they have in markets now. Second of all, android neeeds to much memory, ram, and processor to work well, because it is a very sofisticated Os, in contrast with the simple, useless, ugly WP and Symbian, so, to conclud, it is imposible for Nokia to develop a Pureview Android phone, unless it looks horrible, fat, with no good memory and battery...
NOKIA IS $H1T!!!

What the hell is this news? Siilasmaa never said anything about android, they only said why they didnt choose android and samsung is only android company which makes money.

Gsmarena, you really need to remove this news, this is so wrong.

By the way i'm from Finland :) so i know very well what i'm saying.

Well its kind of total waste for NOKIA and MS is the gainer here,,, I mean NOKIA helped marketing WP since the beginning when no one knows it when things start to get better with WP8 why the hell should NOKIA consider leaving WP and their partnership with MS ,,, now it’s the time to get better U guys been thru the worst and the best still yet to come with WP,,, in my opinion WP8 is beautiful and I like it already with NOKIA models no doubt I will get myself WP8 with all NOKIA features and build quality which it was amazing in Lumia 800 & 900

          Wish U the best NOKIA

I'm not sure if Nokia were capable of releasing a competing Android device, but that'd be a huge test for them. If they succeded that'd be very good for the smartphone market.

If they indeed gonna use Android. They will release a phone and treat it like a prototype like how they treated N9 and 808 PureView and see if it sells well.

Android is the last resort of Nokia. But I think WP8 will be great on Nokia.

                            AnonD-16199, 03 Jul 2012infact nokia lumia 800 don't have front camera and can't us... moreThat's lumia 800's drawback i agree.But that can't be the whole story.
Lumia 800 has double the internal memory 16 gb vs 8 gb.
8 mp cam with much better optics than 5 mp on omnia w.and a rock solid build.
These r enough reason to justify their price gap.and the gap isn't that much actually.
Although if u pit lumia 710 vs omnia w then IMO omnia w is better.

I hope that Nokia stays with Windows Phone because the devices they have done for it are the most beautiful they've made in a long time.

With that said it feels like they got the rough end of the deal with Microsoft who have done them over a bit. Announcing no WP8 support for L900 not long after its release?! And if its true about them being contracted to only produce WP devices while MS are still free to use other partners?!

If Nokia chose to switch sides they'd set Android alight!
