Anonymous, 15 Aug 2020Huwaei doesn't even update its devices other than its ... moreThere's a reason they give three-four major updates for the flagships. You PAY for the flagship device and enjoy your software updates. Mate 9 got upto Android 10. Everyone makes it a big deal when Samsung announces something that Huawei has been doing for years.

Huwaei doesn't even update its devices other than its high-end devices lmao

Yaay I'm in limbo. Doesn't feel any different though.

I have a P30 Pro, I have the latest version of Android, and I really hope I will be able to get the version 11 when it will become available at a large scale.

The alliance with the CCP was more important to Huawei than the google licence. They can always rely on the sales in China or those who don't care if an authoritarian regime is directly involved with a manufacturer as long as they make devices with the highest specs (on paper) at a lower price. There are other Chinese companies like Oppo and Xiaomi; at least these are Publicly traded companies and their investors would stand to lose much if they are shown to be involved with the CCP.
I am not saying Huawei has done anything wrong but there is no doubt on what the CCP would do if they where in control of tech giants like google, Microsoft and Facebook. I live in a country with an authoritarian regime with the CCP as its main backer, the young kids that live in democratic countries do not understand how that feels like and are just selfish.

Well, as ccp-huawei have always stated, "so, what? " lately they only sell their miracle gadgets by gazillions inside their own country, that's enough, that should be enough, the rest of the world can now be a little more safe, thankfully
