meego is a great operating system and as per the reviews, it is better than the current OS out on the market. it is sad that nokia abandoned such beautiful software. the good thing is samsung will try to use the OS. i hope they will produce if not better but at least par with the N9 and more apps as well..more people with support this i am sure of it..

so far, Nokia is right in doing this.

Again would like to thank Elop for this on behalf of

            -------
That's why Nokia fired a lot of people and next year will do it again and will close same factories? Huge success.......

Why Nokia? (My deepest respects to the Maemo/ Meego team, and wishing them all the best).

Nokia is regretting and is further going to regret its recent decisions.

                      Go ahead, trust Microsoft.

The Microsoft which takes $400/ Rs. 8000 from a third world country like India, for a decade old OS called Windows XP...
Pretty much explains why its CEO is the richest man in the world.

Thanks meego team for bringing such an amazing phone. I'm not expert but sure I can tell that meego is really something else. Love my N9, hate Elop, not sure what to feel about Nokia.

People underestimated Windows Phone. Windows Phone 8 will be the king in 2 or so years. It has security chip with Secure Boot and BitLocker encryption for businesses. It helps developers with the ease of porting between Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. It's great for game developers with DirectX support and only Adreno GPUs to worry about. DirectX games will run on any WP8 without much problems. There won't be a bunch of SoC and graphics chips like on Android to cause fragmentation on software updates and incompatibility in games. End users will benefit with fast software updates. Windows Phone 8 runs on Windows NT kernel that supports up to 64 multi cores, so it will be here for a while.
