(btw, my previous nickname was iAm)

iOS devices aren't always dependant on a PC/MAC. it has a wireless backup and tranfer via iCloud. that's practically almost the same in my perspective.

Who cares how customizable an Android phone is when it crashes all the time? Removable batteries are almost required for an Android phone, sometimes pulling the battery is the only way to reboot the OS.

are you sure that iOS (after jaibreak) has a custom rom altogether? Custom kernels? i dont think so.

          -Add custom launchers?
-Replace battery , err ok, i dont want to be sarcastic. i knew its not possible.
          -What about widgets?
          -Multi Keyboards
          -a Simple bluetooth file transfer
-Live wall paper or similar ability

Lol, the App Store and external sources have a bunch of launchers that produce widgets and make your iphone look like Android.

Apart from Bluetooth transfers, that's a pretty feeble list of things that iOS cannot do.

And I never said Android ICS lags. I have build LP7 for your information on my SGS2 and it's fine. Sadly though, I've had about 10 times as many force closes from Android apps than I have iOS apps.

->iOs couldnot 'Reject a call with SMS' until iOS 6.

SO please, be realistic when you speak about the customisations and abilities of iOS.

I am surprised to see that you have been trumpeting about the lag of ICS which in day-to-day usage is not felt by any user (that hampers their experience) but you forgot to notice the handicap features of iOS.

for me , i'd prefer a more functional OS even though it has lag (even PC with i7 lags at times) to a fancy stuff with no real ability that serves my purpose.

Recently I bought iPad 3 , i extensively used iPad for almost 2 months , i found no lags but i felt iPod Touch significantly slow (only after getting used to iPad's speed in loading apps or daily usage) , iPod Touch is bit slow but its not "lag" type of slowness , when i launch settings , it takes 1-2 seconds while ipad open everything instantly , thats the only thing i found but never got lags expept during swiping transition to spotlight like i mentioned previously.btw iPod Touch is mostly filled with music and apps around 25 GB filled and 4 GB left.

Particularly , i never found lag on lockscreen (even on iOS 5.1.1 or any version) , or in UI , btw if u compare iPod to iPhone 4 , iphone has double RAM of ipod , so basically he must have jailbroken it , or just restore from backup and ask him try again (iTunes backs up EVERYTHING including settings and home screen layouts along with settings , and phone comes back to exact previous state , so he wouldn't loose even a chunk of data in the process)

The iphone is much easier to use than any Android. And much for the average person on the street to fully utilise all of the features.

I'm not talking about the fanboys on here. I'm talking about people from 8 to 80, who don't obsess over the next new phone.

these are not facts, this is called personal preference. if you can't differentiate which are facts, and which are opinion then all of your comments lose all it's credibility..

"quality of iOS apps > quality of Android apps"
this is somewhat true, but since not everybody using their phone the same way, then this is arguably insignificant, unless you are looking for some specific apps. both have a general used apps for a general user. and a "specific user" aren't always about the apps.

                            "iphone customisation = android customisation"
and this is the final blow for the credibility of your own comment.. you obviously didn't know what you were talking about..

Only place ios lags is when u swipe left , to spotlight search and that too during transition but not during search .

Google showed how previous android is laggy with project butter , especially poor framerate buffering during transitions.many said dual core phones very smooth bla bla but google clearly showed what android was missing with jellybean :) u cant deny that.

If u ask any 'non-geeks' or normal consumer , they will compare windows phone smoothness with iOS , but never with android , read whole bunch of amazon reviews for lumia 900 , everyone say , wp smoothness cmparable to iOS.
