Fun fact. The Kin Studio was designed by the Danger Design folks. Its no wonder it was the coolest part of Kin.

it's different.
Android is based on Unix/Linux OS,
while Symbian was based on EPOC OS.

apparently Symbian foundation charge a lot of money to everyone that use their OS.
so unless they change their policies, it won't happen anytime soon.

The expectations put on employees was a big issue but is no different anywhere else. They did fall back a little with Symbian progressing but Symbian was way more functional than windows phone.
And in its hayday was leaps better than ios by being just as stable but way more flexible.
Microsoft was the final nail in the coffin on them.

NBMSCH, 23 Aug 2020Microsoft always failed in mobile division, and they never ... moreActually, MS could hit the jackpot in mobile devices if they discard their 'stingy' & 'greedy' mindset.
For example: make a Android smartphone with AOSP and put their own 'mobile services' solution to rival Pixel / Nokia, then sell it REASONABLY, (slightly more expensive than Xiaomi/Realme, but far cheaper than Samsung / Oppo).
With people nowadays paranoid enough about their privacy, different alternatives than GMS is very appreciated, combined with snappy, stock AOSP rom, this devices will surely sold like hotcakes! Pretty much like how iphone first introduced in 2007.
For OS division, I really hope they rebuild Win7 but with App Store.
Many software which compatible up to Win7 suddenly go haywire with Win 8/8.1/10.
Especially 10; this one is a real mess of an OS, which basically asked its users to be ''permanent' beta tester for their never-ending, bug-ridden OS
