Hmm. Given Samsung probably don't want 3 premium line up as S-series has no edge and the screens size is progressively close to the note, a logical evolution... Wait, did they intentionally sabotage themselves with the last Note20 by given the mass market the Exynos chipset to dump the stock?

Crazy speculations it is too early to sell foldables in massive scale unless, they planning to sell Fold 3 for 1000 dollar

If you can scratch screen with finger nail then it is still a fancy gadget.

                goodbye note series.

It's a revolutionary product. Don't expect it at cheap prices anytime soon.
Besides the prices are more than reasonable considering the unique segment.
It's not for the poor who have no more than 200 Euros to spend.

This is most stupid moves by Sammy to kill the Note Series. The formula should have been on for sometimes so that Fold Series could gradually incorporate with Note Series features. How would Customers adjust to new Fold Series when it's twice the price of the Note Series. This is a bad policy at this present time of economy crisis all over the world

Anonymous, 25 Aug 2020exactly. these dumb trend followers were silent 5 to 8 year... moreExynos indeed was better back in the day especially when the whole Snapdragon 810 throttling issues were abundant.
But in 2020, the gap is huge between Snapdragon and Exynos variants.
This is not acceptable especially on a Flagship device which is also getting more and more expensive.

I hope they bring back the headphone jack and add SabreDAC to kill off their rival, LG. There's clearly estate space for that.

I won't be opposed to the idea of them ditching the Note series.
Earlier note used to represent the best of the best from Samsung.
                          That's no longer the case.

And the difference in screen size was the main distinguishable feature along with S pen. These days, the S series is bigger than Note in many cases and a pleothra of variants is making things confusing.
Also the Note is cheaper in certain markets compared to S series.
Only thing missing is S pen.

Galaxy S series in Fab-Mar while Foldables in September.
This is how it should be.

But I'm expecting Fold Series to have a friendly prices not even $1500 but less that consumers could buy and enjoy the new formula

But if other companies will start to make their own foldable devices and the prices will go down, people will start be more interested in this type of phones. Maybe in 1-2 years. Probably Samsung is preparing for this situation. In 2 years they will already be somehow veterans in this, lol.

Agreed. Z fold 3 s-pen combo is the right way to go. Add in wireless 4K display support and you have an ultimate mobile or home office. Perfect for these SARS-CoV-2 times 👌

Makes perfect sense for Samsung to combine the practically identical s and note series, instead of wasting marketing and manufacturing costs for pretty low sales of the note series as a separate event.

Yes it's good move, as too much high end series for almost same specs, it enough to have S series and fold series, and both should have the s pen in the ultra series.

I think the Note 9 was the last real flagship in comparison with everything else available at the time. I am still happily using my note 9. I looked at the note 10 and it was not worth it, overall it was worse than the note 9. I have been seriously considering the note 20 ultra, but for what it offers over the note 9, its not worth £1300+ (when you include cases etc.).
I hope they do release a flagship note type device in Q1 otherwise they will not be getting any money out of me until probably Q3 and then only if the 'flagship' actually offers a real advantage over the Note 9.
