I just got the 4.04 updates on my SII - Dubai, and lot of minor tweaks and now slightly better the battery life. Great.

Open Germany has got a 4.0.4 update for the Note. I will be downloading it tonight and see how it goes

For those having problems to update to ICS 4.0.4 here is what you need to do:
1. Uninstall the Kies version in your PC/MAC (if applicable)
2. Install last version of Kies which you previosly need to download from Samsung site.
3. Connect your phone by cable and see if you receive a notification about the update. If not it means you need to wait more.
Note that in my case update over the air did not work. Update was possible only vie Kies.

I have done a software update on my Samsung Galaxy S 2 and I've noticed in messages that it shows their phone numbers but not their contact name even though I have their names and numbers saved. Why could this be? Any way of fixing it?

I have a branded SG SII from my cellcarrier Telcel, I live in Mexico. Today I upgrade from Gingerbread to ICS and the version we received in my country is 4.0.3, I was expecting 4.0.4....so this article is misleading?

hani, 10 Jul 2012hi ,can the one's who have bought the phone tell me if the... morehey i m using gi9100 from about 7-8 months and its great phone really powerfull !!!
some cons are
1)heating isuue during charging
2)in some phone's blue or yellow tint is there
i got my lcd replaced from service center due too blue tint
its ok nnow but some time it get overheat (only during charging )

Firstly, "Available for international version" means nothing. There is no "generic international version".
All i9100 phones have a region code attached, and its up to Samsung and/or the carrier that look after that particular region to approve and push the update.
For example, UK unbranded is region code XEU. Samsung Europe/UK has to approve this before its available. Australia unbranded is region code XSA, again Samsung Australia has to approve. These are both vanilla "international i9100" phones but with vastly difference approval processes and release timings.
UK Carphone Warehouse is region code CPW, same deal as above.
Then there are all the euro country region code i9100 phones, XEN, NEE,XEF, etc etc. Each with different rollout schedules.
Lastly, the article states update available OTA. Then it says you must connect to Kies. Uhh... which is it? OTA or Kies? Talk about contradiction.
