ICS 4.0.3 is now available in UAE (Dubai).... i have upgarde my S2 yesterday..... Hurray... it's Cool...

I checked on my S2 over Wi-Fi and there are no updates. Hope the new updates betters the battery life.
I hardly get half a day with my usage. Either they fix it or I have to go for an extended battery or sell the phone altogether. Apart from battery, I dont see anything that needs to be fixed by Samsung.

after update go to settings-back up and reset-factory data reset-check check box rease usb storage then press reset phone... for performance..

I'm from Brazil and the ICS update for Galaxy Note is already available for the international version sold here.

i bought this phone a week ago....
it already had the ICS but found that the battery is too low and requires 2 times of charging
i m thinking to upgrade my battery to 2000 MAH..
will the 4.0.4 upgrade help someway in my battery life??

The New ICS Update for Galaxy S2 is now available on Samsung Kies for Countries like Russia (I9100XWLPM) and China (I9100ZCLPL) though Samsung Kies... so if your S2 is not from the country region that there is an available updates, Samsung Kies will not detect any update, but instead it will tell you that you still have the latest Update firmware...
If you want to try ICS 4.0.4, u can use ODIN3 to flash the Firmware package that can be downloaded on Sammobile... but make sure you are currently on Gingerbread since there are some issues that XWLPM has some BRICK BUGS to its Kernel version...

From Cambodia, Just update today my SGS2 through Kie but still 4.0.3 same with it's current version, then changes it's Baseband version from I9100DXLP9 to I9100DXLPA only, seem minor upgrade here.

My point is that the S2 which is much older than the Note and has now been superceded by the S3 yet again gets updated first and that annoys me, I could understand if it was still their flagship and more popular but that is no longer the case. So what is the excuse this time!?

Haha no dude we are actually on time with our mobile phone releases its just the darn updates thats taking forever, sommer gonna buy me a nokia 808 so that I never would have to worry about updates again.. as there will be none

Note and s2 both use same exynos Chooser. Simply the note is clocked faster.
Nexus on the other hand uses Texas instruments OMAP. chipset.

Someday South African Galaxy Note users will see Android ICS on their devices. Of course, by that time people will stop using mobile devices and mankind will have evolved to the point where they communicate by mental telepathy.

Sammy want to be sorting out jellybean for s2 - and no excuses saying the processor can't cope either because we know they are lying about galaxy s not being able to handle ics what with new phones with old chipsets clocked at just 800mhz running it. More customer support needed from Samsung before I ever consider buying one of their powerhouses.
