What a mystery.
I managed to kill them many times with sweat, luckly the rice resurection helped all the time ... at least so far. I use headband so I do not have to deal with it anymore (not 100%, but better than the alternative).

Been using this for 3 months now and it's the best out there. I have used apple airpods Pro and Samsung in ear before but this one beats them by miles especially the sound quality. The sound is awesome. Battery also last and last and the noise cancelling feature is awesome. I have visited a bar where very very loud music is playing but I could barely hear a thing with this on especially when I'm playing music from it. The case could be smaller though and aptx will really make sense too. Well done Sony. I'm looking forward to the upgrade but in the meantime I'll keep enjoying this.

BTW Sony make a lot of DSEE claims, but as any other upscale it's artificial and it brings more bad than good - you simply cannot restore what is missing, it's not the same as image upsacle where it usualy looks better than original. Sound is much more delicate.

Deezer has far more and better quality 360 Audio tracks. Once you start to understand and get used to it you realize it sounds pretty amazing, feeling that you right there at the concert. With most tracks in a High res codec.

Biased opinion solely meant to show WF-1000XM3 to be on the lower side, while that's not actually true.

I'm perfectly happy with my pair. Found them on sale for $215.
Nice and snug fit, had them on for +4 hours without issues yesterday.
Decent NC, although some noise gets through.

Contrary to the reviewer, I find mine very comfy. I used it usually for 3 hrs straight. The ANC is also good.
Also the connection is very good. Only time I have dropped outs is in a place with many people using BT.
Only complain is the AAC codec buggy. Only runs on 2 devices I own. The rest of the 6 devices is always defaulted to SBC no matter settings including Developer Mode. There's no fix for this, I have contacted Sony.
DSEE HX is good. Not sure about bass boost, but for bass, it is the Clear Bass that gives the boost. I think DSEE HX restores the highs only.
Overall I am happy with this earbuds. But my fav is still Master & Dynamics MW07 Plus.

Got them free, but THB this review is much more amazing than those headphones - no ingress is probably their biggest weakness. It's not that they do not survive drop in a puddle, they do not even survive rain/sweat.
DSEE degrades soundstage and brings disgusting bass boost.
Overall they are not bad headphones - NC kinda works, call quality is poor, but the other side can usually hear you, battery life is good, you can customize the touch controlls (not very reliable), sound is OKish.
Sony WF-1000XM4 have a huge potentional to fix a lot of issues and be really great headphones ... but it's Sony, they will add ingress, maybe a better mic and call it a day.

Hopefully it'll be better in the next gen and mostly i hope the next gen support LDAC which are Sony own product that somehow is not supported here.

Good to see a detailed written review like this. The fact that its not comfortable is sad.
Next version should have at least:
1.A better fit and comfort
2.Smaller case
3.Some ingress protection

I have these for more than a year now and still love them.
For me the fit is great.
I want to replace these but there's nothing out yet that would feel like an upgrade to me.
The lack of ipx rating is a bummer that's why I'd go with the sp800 if I didn't already had these.
Although I've been using these on rainy days (we have allot of those) and experienced no issues.
