The goal is efficiency and the display resolution is likely right in between the Pro iPad models; it should handle media and mobile-quality gaming just as well as those tablets, and still last a long time for light to moderate workloads.

Obviously it will not be able to sustain its turbo frequency for a very long period of time like gaming PCs do, but it will not throttle in the way that you meant.

You have point but also you missing the point too. In term of performance its correct. but there is more to that, After sales service, Product brand value and quality of product.

If my MacBook Pro have issue its way more easy to get fixed, not just the country I bought it, but any where in the world.
Its the only brand, whose laptop I can really sell easily and get good price,
Quality is one area Apple is products are great(yes it had keyboard issues for a while) Build on this thing is one thing you all ignores when comparing laptops to MacBooks, trackpad is one area Apple is benchmark, if you know at the moment its also a benchmark in term of speakers. I used to use windows but this OS is way stable for me, I can't recall when was last time I had to worry about virus, or stability. Apple products are mostly expensive for sure but what really matches in overall package.

Do not expect any software miracles, just not garbage Macbook 12 and better battery life - ofcourse there will be ton of bugs, but 3.rd party software will figure it out quickly and Apple software will get there eventualy as well.

In fact, I used to run Windows on my Mac but since I rarely used it I deleted it to use the memory for something more useful. Today, I hardly use my Mac as well. I prefer the iPad. But I would consider an arm based Mac if it can run iPad apps.

Gaming laptops are both more expensive and have inferior cooling system, which is important for the longevity of the component. Not to mention gaming laptop are heavy as f*ck.
