More and more people are keeping their phones 3 years or more, every year there’s less reasons to ugprade and normal people will upgrade more and more rarely.

The average consumer outside of tech sites won't see a point in upgrading their phone if it's still being updated and works fine, which is why so many people still have the iPhone 6s. Most people can save up enough to afford a new phone after three years.

Just recently I've resurrected my ancient Galaxy S2 and in process of wiping broken CyanogenMod from it restored its stock firmware. Android 4.1.2. Boy that thing looks and feels dated and just lacks features. Installed LineageOS 17.1 on it and boy, it felt like a modern device. A bit slow for obvious reasons, but it worked quite nicely. And gaine bunch of Android 10 features that would simply not be there. iPhone would actually gain software support for this long. Not quite but close. Android, well it stopped getting updates at version 4.x...

If you sell only a few models,it's logic that you have big numbers. Mostly teenagers are buying those phones,because they see them in American movies,and because they must have a certain statute in their environment. And if you have to keep your phone,for more than 3y,mostly it's because you payed to much...

If Samsung used Snapdragon processor on s20 globally, than they would be the first one with the regular s20.
Xiaomi as well instead going with 4 cameras (which 2 of them are macro and depth) should went with one telephoto on Mi 10 regular, like that they would gain the territory that Iphone 11 got.

The one and only reason of why there is no s20 series phone.because of exynos proccesors.only us and china gets snapdragon.exynos is inferior than any other proccesors.samsung will lose their reputation for this inferior exynos proccesor.

Main reason is iOS, also when you talk only about specs just shows you are living in your small tech bubble and forget that most who buy phones are just regular non tech people.

Except of course that you are comparing wrong phones. Of course you can claim value for money if you compare cheap 64GB LCD phone to flagship with fancy Super AMOLED and 256GB.
Now, sit down and tell what kind of value for money 256GB iPhone 11 pro max provides, cause that's indeed the actual competitor of $900 Android flagship.
And reputable brands actually do support their phones for 3 years and nobody forces you to upgrade right away. Count that in.

If you can tolerate it’s below par LCD(which I couldn’tand switched to 11 Pro Max) it is a reasonable option in the iOS world. If you come from QHD+ AMOLED Android world, you may have big challenge with the display like I was.
