Oneplus has lost it's identity. They used to produce flagship killers. Now they produce flagships. They used to push close to stock OS with just the amount of tweaks people would need to stand out as arguably the best android iteration. Now they are copying samsung's oneUI. They are charging 40+K money, but still their cameras are not good enough to comepete with other companies. They are good but they are not excellent. People paying that kind of money at least want excellent cameras. They have even omitted the telephoto camera from the non-pro version al together after 7T. They should concentrate on polishing their camera processing more rather than launching so many models like any other chinese brand!

No telephoto lens.We have seen a telephoto lens in7T and the macro was produced along with the main sensor in 7T.But the new version that is 8T,has an separate macro instead of joined along with main sensor, also no telephoto in the camera department is dissappointing.

You could have purchased OP7 pro or 7T pro.

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2020Someone clearly is jealous of the success of BBK electronic... moreI'm currently using a BBK group phone and they do make some good phones but there is a bit of a stigma attached to using their phones in China still. Basically, you very very rarely see professionals in large cities using BBK group phones at all. OPPO and Vivo in particular tend to have the vast majority of their sales in lower tier cities and mainly through bricks and mortars stores. They charge relatively high prices for their phones and so they can offer more commission to sales staff for selling their phones so they target people who are not that interested in technical specs and go to stores to buy their phones. However, professionals in large cities care more about their image so it's basically all Huawei and Apple which have stronger brand image. Oppo in particular are working hard to change their image though and are opening a lot of Oppo own brand stores currently in tier one cities to try to grab some of the high end market that is cornered by Apple and Huawei. If Huawei disappears there will be a big opportunity for the other brands in the high end market.

[deleted post]Cheap to average quality products at high prices is their motto.
This is exactly why I chose to permanently ditch the iOS ecosystem.
Others might buy them blindly. Not me, only premium quality products for me.
My father's iPad Pro bending was the final nail in the coffin. Plus I was already tired of the shortcomings of iPhone 11 pro Max in various departments (software wise shortcomings along with some hardware compromises).

Upgraded myself to the OnePlus 8 pro. Cost me exactly half of the iPhone. I didn't even have to pay that. Sold my iPhone 11 pro Max at Rs. 55k (resale value for iPhone being good in my country) and added another 5k to buy 12gb/256gb model of OP8 pro. Never looked back again.

[deleted post]Seeriously? All of this coming from apple? Are you sure it's not realme?
Wow that's some news I never heard about. Not even realme has 6
But I still consider the iphone 11 pro max as one of my possible future phones cause it's just so good
But sice I will be buying my new phone around august next year, I might get the rog phone 4

Finally one plus 8 with good cameras

Currently they have the most marketshare when you combine Realme, Vivo, Oppo and OnePlus.

They surpass Huawei as no.1 if you combine all those sub brands.
They are also at the forefront of innovation.
You must be some jealous fruit logo user.

It's going to be another midling, overpriced device, no longer anywhere close to the "flagship killer" moniker that 1+ was known for.

BBK will throw out a LOT of money to keep the press fires burning with PR spiel a few weeks before it gets released.

Device will launch to midling reviews. Some shillery here and there. Then all will go quiet for a while.

Then OnePlus 9 will be announced. Rinse, repeat.

That's the story of BBK spawns in a nutshell. Sad but true :(
