Sammy is "in" these days so people will still sell their kidneys to get one even if there are display issues, lags and bloatware, battery drains, underwhelming UI, heating issues, slow upgrades, copyright infringements, wifi glitches, cheap materials, disgusting designs, reception problems, device fragmentation and yeah "explosions", ofcourse! MAY GOD GIVE THE BRAINS TO THE BRAIN WASHED! AMEN!

Sammy makes great washing machines btw. No glitching and clipping while displaying water temperature.

AnonD-14018, 13 Jul 2012I didnt quite understand what to read from the test they ha... moreit means you have the so called moderate crush. Which means you are affected too... :-(
Somebody said that only 2% is affected!! how does he know that? did he do a poll? or is an official number from sammy? Gosh!!!
Some people are really so irresponsible, telling things out of reality.
According to polls in xda the number is far greater than just 2%... Samsung should recall all notes.
I think GSMarena should make users aware of this much much earlier. Next time please be more quick, less than 9 months... Anyway thanks

Well I work with mobiles and haven't heard this. Why do you insist on saying "phoneblet" - it sounds stupid and I hope it doesn't catch on.

this is actually true guys i have the s2 and the s3 and the note but the s2 doesnt do this coz I think its coz it uses the real RGB instead of pentile because my s3 and note does this but my s2 doesnt :/ i guess samsung should have gone with super amoled plus

the gradients come out pretty poor in dark areas, and there's indeed an interesting black clipping effect sometimes, both of which I already noticed since I got my Note. and the pentile is annoying when color red pops up.
but the screen behaves pretty well in most other conditions, so I wouldn't say it's in any way a deal breaker.

Its sad but true... my note just went on a mode where the screen went into all colorful horizontal stripes... like a tv screen that freezes. I had ro press the power button for a long time and than the screen went blank and to the lock screen mode... its a month old my G-Note

I have run the "test" XDA suggest to run and my Note has no issues with it. However it is running the 4.0.4 update, so that might be why. (however didn't see anything when it had 4.0.3 in it either

First, it's NOT an inherit AMOLED problem; my galaxy s1 has perfectly even darks and blacks, and can just barely be perceived as on in a pitch-black room.
The galaxy s3 (or several so far at least) have a similar problem with blacks looking washed-out/grey and having darker "ink spots" visible in low-light situations.
It's a bad batch, or a stupid manufacturing/programming mistake..I've seen good Notes next to bad ones.

ohh gosh!! I knew it since I brought the device 4 months back. But no service center attends to such issues. I am damn angry now and definitely would want to go for a replacement now. My videos used to get washed out completely which some dark spots when displaying darker shades watching videos. At last somebody caught it. Thanks!!!

it's an amoled screen guys. It's very normal not to be able to compete an lcd screen in low light scenes. I can't understand what's the fuss about.

AnonD-62801, 13 Jul 2012This severe black clipping issue actually affects nearly ev... moreErrr...I do not believe a store would allow customers to "try out" the whole inventories of a particular model - unless the store is very small and only have 2 units in stock.
Don't believe everything you read on th net.
