cheezo, 08 Sep 2020ok now your argument makes more sense, first of all I'... moreBefore I start, I wanna repeat one of my arguments: You don't play games on an xbox 40cm away from the monitor (as is the case with desktops), but from whole meters. In the other side of the room on the sofa, on a chair in the middle of the room. Usually you play on a huge tv, not on a small monitor. And my point is, even with such huge screens, from that distance, you won't see much difference between 720p and 1080p. Maybe 4k yes, but for that you also need a 4k tv, which you need to spend a whole lot of money for here in romania. So in my opinion, being part of the majority who doesn't own a 4k tv, 4k console gaming is not an option. And since 1080p almost looks the same as 720p, you might as well play on 720p for better performance on these newer games.
About the troll thing, no worries. Even I called someone a troll on this very thread.
Yes the bang for buck ratio of consoles is INCREDILE!!! For 200 bucks (and 30 euro more for the game, or just get it off a torrent), and a tv which most likely you have, you can play gta 5 with no worries of performance issues, unlike on desktops, where unless you buy a second hand one (and you can do that with consoles as well), you have to pay 330 euro for one of pcgarage's (a romanian tech selling site) builds (Corvus it's called) which can play it on low, having integrated amd graphics. Let alone the mouse, keyboard, and a monitor if you don't want to use your tv. Huge steal these consoles are.
Don't get me started on pc's, I don't have the time or patience to write about them. Anyway, with an rtx 3090 your pc will have more years to live than japan. Unless it snaps in half after 30 years of dust gathering. And I agree with you, developers are only limited by the max performance that exists(and funds and time).
And yes, sadly we don't get games on pc's made especially for them, but for consoles. The only thing real expensive rigs are useful for is developing games, apps, and 16k video editing.
I never owned a console, but I had a really good friend who owned a 360. My pc at that time (2014-2015) couldn't even run fallout 3 too good, and on his console I played gta 5 (which I bought in a bundle with gta 4, san andreas, vc and 3, and episodes of gta 4) with 30 frames!!! That's maybe why I have such a good opinion about it, it amazed me how he bought it second hand, with all the games cracked, for 150 euro.
Never touched a one or a ps4
Nice talking to you, see ya!

500$.... i think Nvidia knew these prices before us. 👀

Andreidinutu, 08 Sep 2020You are right, the 360 isn't enough to play everything... moreok now your argument makes more sense, first of all I'm sorry for calling you a troll, that was uncalled for, and yes console hardware for what it is is extremely powerful, getting an xbox one s for around $200 now is a steal in my opinion, however in the pc market the power gap is being increased dramatically thanks to new hardware like the rtx 3000 series cards, and soon and will come out with the competition, for prices that are very reasonable, puts consoles at a disadvantage for the consumer wanting better graphics and frame rates, to developers just waiting to put out their ideas and imagination to work using the new power available to them.

in my opinion the market is dictated by the current console generation, you can build a PC for 5000$ but most games will still be limited (content wise) to what a $300 console can push in that time, simply due to the developers (being in a business) aim to get the most sales possible by providing their products for the biggest audience. yes I still have my ps3 and I usually fire it up to play some of my favorite classics, but after going back to the ps4 after it, the difference really shows in how outdated the hardware is.

cheezo, 08 Sep 2020there aren't even new games coming out on it for it to... moreYou are right, the 360 isn't enough to play everything
No I am not trolling, I'm just saying that console hardware is extremley powerful
But I didn't say the 360 should be the one and only. The One (haha) came at it's right time in 2013 I think.
And what I'm saying is, you're right about your whole comment (less the me being a troll part, I never was and never would stand myself to be one, I agree to being wrong etc.).
But another thing I'm saying, is that these consoles should have waited just 2 more years, because if you just lower the graphics on your game (the developer ofc), they would still do their job very nicely.
My i7 4790 from 2014 can play any game at almost the highest settings (a bit limited by my gpu, the gtx 1070). And it's from about the same time as the xbox one, +-1 year. And I think that is the case with the xbox one, but on less demanding graphics
I'm sorry, you're right, but for graphics games you go for a pc. Otherwise they should make 2 types of consoles:1000 euro ones and 300 euro ones like these. At least here, in europe where people are somewhat willing to pay 1000 euro for something that will last them 15 years

Xbox 360 can definetley run m... morethere aren't even new games coming out on it for it to run them at "low" settings, current gen hardware is already barely able to keep up with the new wave of games, and hardware improvement isn't just for you as a consumer, it's for developers to have more creative freedom, if they were still tied by developing games for the 360 then we'd never get games like ghost of Tsushima, horizon zero dawn, god of war, cod MW (although it's size is ridiculous) on last gen hardware, it's so ancient that phones can now pump more power than a 360 or ps3. can you even imagine Forza 5 running on 360? I thought you were trolling at first, but no way you can say that the 360 is still relevant with a straight face
