windows is better than android...
Android is maybe fast but,windows has a smoothness and a sophisticate gateup which easily attracts lots of attention.The only bad part is no file sharing between two devices.By the rate in which windows app market is growing it will surpass android's only advantage in next few months,It's market place..and given strict hardware restrictions from miicrosoft..windows doesnt allow ur phone to lack in performance and quality.

I saw many switching from iPhone to Samsung and HTC,
Why?
Reasons that I've got from them ranging from bigger screen, latest tech, easy access to their own files, iPhones are old newspaper, iPhone got nothing for showboating... etc
in facts, none I've knew switch vise versa.

Got sick of hearing that other phones are trash and cheap (looking) because they are made of plastic, not metal and glass.
Those claims sound too ignorant. Do some research before making such a claim. Not all plastics are created equally. Just look at the auto industry. All, modern cars, especially premium/advanced cars, are NOT made from metal and "pure" glass. They are made mostly from some form of "advanced plastic"... Glass is too fragile. Many people went through multiple iPhones because of the fragile broken glass. Glass and metal are too heavy and not malleable enough for your palm and do not absorb heat/impact well. BTW, premium materials are much more expensive than "cheap" materials. If one is using more expansive materials, the profit would be much lower because the cost of making a phone is much higher. However, is that the case with the phones that are using supposedly much more expensive and premium glass and metal???
If one is talking about pure (very subjective) styling aspect of things, that's a different topic. Something should not be ugly or cheap just because it's not metal and glass. Personally, I bought iPhone before because it has that small cute, glossy, and boxy look like Mini Cooper. However, in terms of style, prefer sleek and stylish premium looking high-end German/Japanese/American car-like designs/materials in general.

Iphone user say android is cheap because its made of plastic,obviously iphone users have no logic,they use plastic to lighten the weight so that users dont have to carry phone which is surrounded by METAL and GLASS.

[deleted post]iphone is a minimal elegant device,it is pratically an ipod touch with gsm and is for people wich have another needs than playing stupid games or watching movies all the time or chating with useless people like themselves. and if iphone is a strange device,more a perfect mp3 player with gsm, i can tell you for sure that macintosh and imac pc always were the best computers in the world ,the best harware and software, number one choice for professionals wich are making music or video editing.

it's got to make you laugh, at least a little.. on how the die hard Nokia fans were saying "wait 'til Nokia start with Windows Phone, then we'll show them".. then it was "wait until the Lumia 900 hits, the others were just for starters".. now it's "wait until Windows 8, cross device connectiveity etc..". I think Nokia and it's fans are running out of excuses - and running out of time. RIM on the other hand will weather out the storm, they have and always will have business use at their core long after BBM is out of flavour with teenagers.

where do u count switchers ?
Lot of android users are switching compared to iOS users chosing diff platform,
If apple releases new phone , other OEMs must decrease their shipping volumes for android and also launch their windows devices , on large scale , since windows 8 launch is coming , so they cant keep current production of android while most users drift to either iOS or WP ,
In that quarter , so calculation looks like this :
Android 45 , iOS 50 , windows 5 which makes iOS go first unless android sales dont decline ,
but still if u consider whole android and iOS not just smartphones , new iPhone , new iPod Touch go high for christmas as well as iphone 4s price and others models goes for less price , which increase the share even further (which already hold number 1) and then after a quarter gap , new iPad again increase share.
In coming quarters , iOS and WP definitely push limits than they are in current positions , which fill gap between android and iOS since android share will be ate by WP and iOS in smartphones case too.
