AnonD-754814, 15 Sep 2020yeah.
Keep telling stories.
Go ahead and read some history.I did. And so did the person who brought up the article of comparing the same chip fabbed by both Samsung and Apple.
Clearly your the one not up on your history here.

AnonD-754814, 15 Sep 2020TSMC's fabrication before 7nm technology was way worse... more😂😂😂😂😂😂 Good joke. They had great fabrication. It was even already brought up in here about when Apple sourced from both Samsung and tmsc that the Samsung was about 10% behind.
It was for the A9 soc I think.
There was an article covered here at gsmarena and many other places I'm sure.
So continue showing you don't understand what you are talking about.
And even if we pretended tmsc had a less ideal fab then it doesn't discredit all the facts of all the poor designs and choices Qualcomm had then. And that it was that severe mistake that made them push towards improving vastly.

Those who denies has 0 knowledge on this.
TSMC's fabrication was not that efficient to make that much core performing good.

What you say won't change the fact. Huawei might not release this year. But they have release in the previous years.
Besides,
What're we even arguing about ?
Fabrication ?
Exynos 9825 and Kirin 990 was announced the same time. Kirin 990 was better in efficiency and CPU and It's fabricated by TSMC. So, that makes TSMC's fabrication better(in terms of your logic points)
Also Exynos 9825 was worse than SD 855 in both efficiency and Performance.
So, TSMC's 7nm is better(though this isn't the way to actually judge fabrication but suits well for people like you)
End of Discussion.

Devices using didn't come until months later in 2019.
Where as the 9825 was basically announced and released at the same time a few months later.
And if huawei was able to release a new chip this year it would count. Cause it would be their main chip right now. Unless you meant announced near the end of the year but didn't release until next year.
Even then it would be completely dependent of when their last chip was released cause they or any company could be on a different release schedule.

AnonD-754814, 15 Sep 2020Many people actually blame TSMC's fabrication. That is... moreTmsc has great fabrication.
The s810 fiasco was all Qualcomm's own fault.
They dove headfirst into 8 core designs without being prepared. And did it on an outdated die size. 20nm I think.
They were trying to play catch up. And they were not known for their efficiency at the time.
Where as samsung had been working with more cores for years and had been more efficient with their cpu cores for a while.
And also brought the first 14nm with the 8 core 7420.
Exynos was already quad-core when snap was dual. And then octa core when snap was quad.
Honestly that 14nm fabrication was the main thing separating the two as severely in heat issues. So you could say that alone is the aspect that you can blame on tmsc. They didn't have a 14nm die process yet.
It was this massive mistake and future demands on top of how much more efficient exynos chips had been in comparison then that finally drove Qualcomm to change their ways from benchmarks, heat, and throttle to efficiency.
They went back to a quad core with the s820.
And from there on with the s835 on they starting making great strides to efficiency longevity, and sustained performance.
S845-865 have been great show cases of this.
This is also what widened the gap between the last couple generations of snap and exynos. While Qualcomm starting finally making strides towards efficiency samsung started making the switch to designing large cores from scratch. Which while they could have done better heat and power draw issues with such a change were unavoidable.
So anyone that thinks the s810 fiasco was the fault of tmsc simply has zero relevant knowledge on the situation or respective companies.

Though it didn't smoke the 855 either.
It could have caught up or had a lead if it was set up better.
However sadly it was too early on for the large cores, they stuck with a basic gpu set up, and were clearly being pushed towards benchmark numbers by higher ups.
And samsung didn't have 7nm because they were bringing the first euv and doing it with 7nm so it took them a little longer to get it better.

Exynos 9825 was launched with Note series in August 2019.
In technological world that's 1 year gap.
For example. If Huawei was like old times. They would have already announced a phone with a newer Kirin SoC based on 5nm.
Now you can't compare it to SD865 because that's actually older SoC.
In technological industry year actually starts from June/July, not January.
Q3-Q4 is the timeframe when every brands offer new technological improvement.
